All companies that purchase lots of this frequency will have to develop a program that takes basic internet to schools. THE ANATEL will be responsible for this organization, together with the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Ministry of Communications. See the next steps of the 5G auction.

Claro and Vivo start buying first batches of 26Hz frequency 3v6g6l

The frequencies being auctioned today can be defined as “avenues in the air” through which the 5G signal is transmitted. As we quoted yesterday in the details of this Anatel event, the 26Hz frequency is more geared towards uses in industries and agribusiness. So far, two companies have purchased the first lots: clear and alive. More companies are expected to purchase the remaining lots on Friday afternoon.

First lots of the 5G auction have already been sold. Everything must be finalized today

This part of the 5G auction is focused only on the fifth generation internet, despite having a lower latency (response time), the 26Hz frequency is the one with the highest transmission capacity. In practice, it can be used in factories, farms and other sectors that have a controlled space.

The purchase is even recommended for companies that already serve entrepreneurs and specific spaces. The Internet of Things must be driven by this frequency. Speaking of values, the Clear won two lots that have national coverage for R$ R$ 52,825 million each. THE Living, made the purchase of three lots, these also being used throughout Brazil, with a price of R$ 52,824 million each.

Another company that showed interest in buying the 26Hz frequency in the 5G auction was TIM, but she only chose to purchase a lot in the region Sul. The bid was made for R$ 8 million, with a single bid. All Brazilians are expected to have fifth-generation internet access by 2029.

Companies that buy lots will have to offer internet to schools h1g57

By making the use of 26Hz frequencies available for purchase in the 5G auction, the Federal Government made a requirement for companies that buy the lots. It will be necessary for these companies to develop a program that brings internet to public schools. This will be done in partnership with the MEC, where 15 days after the auction result is approved, the School Connectivity Project Cost Monitoring Group (GAPE) will be created.

Within that, in addition to a representative of the Ministry of Education and ANATEL, a representative of each company that purchased the lots will be participating. The same goes for a person who works in the Ministry of Communications.

Companies that purchase 26Hz frequency lots will need to develop an internet program for schools across Brazil

The companies that made the commitment when making the purchase of lots in the 5G auction will need to develop a project that takes internet to students from the entire public network, citing in the project: characteristics, technical criteria, schedule of goals and pricing studies.

In addition, it will also be necessary to indicate which type of connection will be available in each region. This should help distance learning and, of course, allow greater access to information on the internet. Priority will also be defined in this monitoring group created by ANATEL in partnership with Ministry of Education e Ministry of Communications.

5G auction will be finalized today: what are the next steps? 1r4r4f

With at least one company making the purchase of lots of each frequency of the 5G auction, now it's time for everyone to work so that Brazilians have access to the fifth generation internet. An important point is that in addition to delivering a better internet for everyone, companies will also need to act to offer a more connected life through obligations that were made by the Federal Government for authorization to be granted.

5G should change our reality in an important way, as it will allow us not only to have access to a faster internet, but also for more and more products to be connected. Citing just one example, it will be possible to connect cars and traffic lights so that they “talk” and exchange information with each other. No need for human interference.

Brazil is the first country in Latin America to start deploying 5G

In addition, the business sector should also benefit from this, where the production of various products should be driven by the use of 5G. O showmetech already developed a special article citing all the benefits of fifth generation internet, be sure to check it out. It is expected that all Brazilian capitals will have access to 5G in July 2022.
