In an exclusive interview to the site Hey guys, actor Dan Fogler stated:
“We started [filming] in the fall. The movie will be gigantic. The reason we were given [for the delay] is that the movie will be bigger than the first two together. They needed more prep time and didn't want to rush anything. I can say that we are going to Brazil. I don't know much [laughs]. I will receive the script closer to the start of filming.”
It is worth ing that the actor Eddie Redmayne and the very JK Rowling had already stated that one of the films in the franchise would be set in Rio de Janeiro.

In November last year, the English writer changed the image of her Twitter official for an old photo of the Rio de Janeiro in the 1930s. He then provoked his followers by apologizing for writing the spelling of Rio de Janeiro as “Rio de Janeiro”.
However, the visit to the country will happen sooner than expected – in 2016, when she first hinted that the franchise would go to a Portuguese-speaking country, Rowling suggested that it would be in the fourth film in the series.

However, the information that the film will show Rio de Janeiro does not necessarily mean that filming will take place in Brazil with the cast.
An example of this is that, for the second feature in the franchise, Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindelwald, five of the technical team were sent to Paris to capture exterior scenes of the French capital
These scenes were then worked on and inserted into the feature using computer graphics. The other French sets were built in British studios. So, here's our hope for magic highs to happen here in Brazil, isn't it?
