Unfortunately, beyond confirming that the film is in production and identifying the people involved in the early stages, further details about the film's conception are not yet known. A Nintendo has not yet revealed whether the narrative will be a totally new creation in the universe of The Legend of Zelda or will adapt some of its games to this new format.
Regardless of the decision made, the universe of Hyrule is rich and has provided several captivating stories throughout its almost 40 years of existence. From classics involving time travel to save the world, such as Ocarina of Time, to plots that address darker and horror themes, such as Majora's Mask.
On the other hand, the company can choose to continue the story started in the Nintendo Switch: Breath of the Wild e Tears of the Kingdom. Where a world ravaged by Ganon, after the conquest of Hyrule Castle and the defeat of Link, leads the hero to a century-long sleep to restore his powers and when he wakes up, he finds himself in a world completely destroyed by time.
These two narratives, in particular, pique fans' curiosity, especially due to the events that precede the games' story. It would be an opportunity to deepen knowledge about fascinating characters that only appear in Link's memories.
If Nintendo decide to adapt one of your games to the cinema, Skyward Sword stands out as an intriguing possibility, considered the origin narrative of the franchise. Introducing fundamental concepts to a new audience, like the Triforce or the reincarnations of iconic characters like Link, Zelda and Ganon, would be an ideal chance.
Who will be the actor of Link? 12n54

The choice of the actor to play Link, the famous silent protagonist of The Legend of Zelda, is one of the aspects most debated by fans in this adaptation. The franchise is known for having a hero who doesn't speak, presenting a unique challenge for the transition from game to film.
Considering Ball's previous collaboration with Thomas Brodie-Sangster on Maze Runner, it wouldn't be surprising if the director wanted to bring the actor into the role of Link. After all, despite being in his 30s, the actor can still easily himself off as a younger person.
While nothing is confirmed and casting choices remain open, we've prepared a list of actors we'd like to see play Link. It is important to emphasize that these are just speculations and the official result is a new face in Hollywood.
Thomas Brodie-Sangster 6v64d

In addition to having already worked alongside the director of the Zelda film as Newt in the Zelda trilogy, Maze Runner, Thomas is also known for being able to disguise his age well and playing characters much younger than himself. Therefore, it would be an interesting choice if the Nintendo opt for a long-term option.
Other prominent roles that Thomas had in his career were Benny Watts in The Queen's Gambit, series of Netflix, and was also present in around 10 episodes of Game of Thrones, where he brought Jojen Reed to life.
Jacob Tremblay 40k6x

It's been six years since Extraordinário was released and the kid who played August Pullman is now 17 years old. Despite not having been a frequent face in major films recently, the actor has been acting more as a voice actor, being the voice behind Luca in the animation of the same name, Flounder in the live-action The Little Mermaid and also Robin in the animated series Harley Quinn.
It would be a perfect choice if the Nintendo and Sony opted for one of the younger versions of Link for the film adaptation.
Justice Smith 10612h

When we think about potential actors to play Link, we often just consider how his appearance will be adapted for film. However, if we take versatility into , Justice Smith could be an excellent choice for the film. The Legend of Zelda.
Justice has already participated in another adaptation of a franchise from Nintendo, playing Tim Goodman in Detective Pikachu. He also gained prominence for playing Simon Aumar in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Rebels, a medieval fantasy film released earlier this year, which is an adaptation of the well-known tabletop RPG.
The actor is also versatile and skilled at conveying his emotions, easily alternating between moments of joy and scenes full of drama.
Walker Scobell 12i1a

Walker Scobell's name may not be one of the best known to become Link's actor in the films, but the 14-year-old already has a notable CV, especially in works of fiction and fantasy. Last year, for example, he starred alongside Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project na Netflix.
His success led to him being chosen by Rick Riordan as the performer of Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, in the new series that will premiere in December on Disney+. Therefore, his experience in this universe, along with his practice of sword combat during preparations for the series, would make him an ideal choice for the Hero of Hyrule.
It is possible to envisage an adaptation of The Legend of Zelda with two Links, as occurs in Ocarina of Time. Thus, Walker could become even more favorable to play a young version of Link, while another adult version, after time travel, could be played by another actor on this list.
D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai 1w4c3j

If Shigeru Miyamoto is looking for an up-and-coming actor to play Link in the film adaptation, then Pharaoh should be one of the options he considers. He is receiving widespread critical acclaim for his performance as Bear Smallhill in Reservation Dogs, a series created by Taika Waititi.
He could bring the charisma and lightness necessary to bring the main character of The Legend of Zelda, as the character develops and we hear his voice for the first time in the cinema. Furthermore, D'Pharaoh has ancestry from North American indigenous nations, being Oji-Cree, Chinese-Guyanese and German, which would add even more depth to Link's journey defending his homeland from Ganon's invasion.
This isn't the first Zelda adaptation! 211249
Although fans are excited to follow Link's journey in a completely new way, this is not the first time that Hyrule has left video games and been adapted for other media. In 1989, produced by DIC Entertainment, responsible for successful animations at the time, 13 episodes of a cartoon in this universe were made.
The design has many elements present in the games, with Link being hired to prevent Ganon from obtaining the power of the Triforces, or triple strength, as it became known in the Portuguese adaptation, in order to conquer Hyrule. Despite the similarities, some differences are also notable, such as the protagonist being treated as an arrogant hero.
Unfortunately, the animation did not receive a positive reception from the media and fans at the time, who cited the quality of the script in general as its main flaws.
Now, we can only wait for the news that the film's creators will reveal about what we can expect from this film adaptation. Are you looking forward to the film?
