We will still talk about a new air taxi and also a prototype humanoid robot built by Tesla. Come check it out with us!

No Showmetech TRIO this week, we will present a video talking about the optimus, a prototype humanoid robot from Tesla; we will also address the arrival of an air taxi, called Wisk aero; and we will show you how the next continent should be formed: amasia. Come check out with us the highlights of the week with the Showmetech TRIO!  3j6t4o

Elon Musk owns several companies in the field of technology. One of them is the Tesla, famous for developing used electric cars in several places in the world. However, their activities will not be limited to automobiles.

During the AI Day 2022, Tesla's event on artificial intelligence that took place this past Friday, September 30, a prototype humanoid robot was revealed that involves some sensors of automatic cars with enhanced artificial intelligence. This prototype was called Optimus.

Elon Musk stated that the Optimus robot could cost around US$ 20.000, equivalent to R$ 103.490 at the current price. In addition to the humanoid-looking prototype, the company still intends to build another model that will not be able to move.

The prototype shown has a 2,3 kWh battery, runs on Tesla's operating system and still has connectivity via Wi-Fi and LTE. The presentation focused more on the robot's ts, how they are consistent and fluid. One of the uses of Optimus would be to carry boxes, in addition to other more common activities.

In the days leading up to AI Day 2022, robotics experts warned against buying too much into Musk's claims. They noted that other companies are much further along in developing robots that can walk, run and even jump — but none are claiming to be any closer to replacing human labor.

Another novelty is the Wisk aero, a new type of air taxi that holds up to 4 engers, not counting a pilot, as the vehicle is autonomous. This will possibly be the first electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle (also known by the acronym “eVTOL”) to be properly certified for commercial activities.

The vehicle has its front rotors, each with five propellers that can move horizontally or vertically, as well as six other rear rotors, each with two propellers that move exclusively vertically. The estimate is that the Wisk Aero reaches a speed of 140 km/h and can reach between 762 meters and 1,21 km in height.

The intention of using Wisk Aero is varied, but one of the main points is that, someday, companies like Uber will be able to offer this service. And since there is no pilot on board, there will be another employee who will oversee the entire trip. The main points to request this service would be the “vertiports”, which must be located on building terraces.

The responsible startup foresees the launch of the vehicle within the next 5 years, with 14 million trips per year. The revenue forecast for the flying taxi market, including players such as Hyundai, Toyota, Airbus, Boeing, Bell and Uber, is 150 billion dollars by 2035.

Amasia, the next continent 34w35

Researchers from New Curtin University, in Australia, used a supercomputer to find out when a possible next supercontinent will form. According to calculations, in the next 200 to 300 million years America will merge with Asia, forming what will be called the amasia.

And this is not something new. The phenomenon known as the “supercontinent cycle” happens every 600 million years, and it always brings new continents to Earth. An example of this was more than 700 million years ago, when the previous supercontinent began to break up and consequently the superocean shrank. panthalassa.

Have you ever thought about the union of Asia with America? This is what will happen in 200 to 300 thousand years, creating then Amasia, the new continent of the Earth. Reproduction:

That is, for Amasia to be conceived, the Pacific Ocean will also shrink over time as the American and Asian continents move closer together.

Other aspects such as the climate and the water level will also be drastically affected while this process takes place, including the influence on the temperature of the environment. All this will be felt by the inhabitants of these places, and can even be perceived by those who are further away.
