In an episode that stops action for grieving and answers questions raised by fans, see everything that happened in Rings of Power Episode 7

After an episode focused on action and the war between the humans of the Southlands against Adar and his children orcs, this week's episode of Rings of Power slows down the intense pace of the previous one to talk about grief and the pain of loss. Still, the series delivers the highest quality cinematographic direction, answers many questions raised by the series and instills curiosity for what is yet to come. 504423

the previous episode 6r4k

In the 6th episode of the series, we have the first major battle shown in detail since the first episode, which shows the battles against the first dark lord of Middle-earth, Morgoth.

We started following Adar, your army of orcs and also the humans who swore their allegiance to him arriving at the tower where the other humans of the Southlands had taken refuge after having taken their home. At this moment, they are ambushed, which does not end the attack. The following nightfall, another onslaught against the humans, who once again believe they are victorious, but soon discover they are fighting their former friends, neighbors and relatives.

Adar had used humans as mere pawns, then defeated his enemies once and for all and took possession of the land. Sauron's Fist, its objective from the beginning. The Fist was obtained through the killing of hostages and the torture of Bronwyn, until his son, According to the, prevents her from being killed as well when giving the object to the corrupted elf. With the day dawning, a package and a mission are delivered to Waldreg, the first to ally with Adar, who sees Númenor's army of islanders, its Queen-regent, Galadriel, and Halbrand approaching.

We then see the beginning of the very fast pace of the episode until its end. Seeing the elf in her mishap by dodging spears and attacking orcs, Adar rides away carrying what we believe to be the Fist, but is soon overtaken by an incantation she cast on her horse. Halbrand catches up with the two and knocks the enemy down, almost killing him right away, because of what he had suffered at the hands of the father of the two. orcs in the as-yet-unrevealed past, but is thwarted by Galadriel's requests for an interrogation.

We discover that Adar supposedly killed Sauron because of the suffering of his sons, who call themselves uruk, used and discarded in the new dark lord's ambition for power. Also, Halbrand is proclaimed King of the Southlands by the survivors when Bronwyn sees the crest he carries on his armor. Everything seemed to be heading towards a smooth victory for the alliance against the uruk, until we are led to Waldreg, which turns Sauron's Fist into a sword and uses it to open the key to Sauron's face in the tower, which creates a chain action until we see a volcano erupt and Mount Doom rise in the region.

Blood red smoke, ash and lava invade the human village. Adar's plan had been a success: the Southlands, a thriving human kingdom, is no more and the land of the orcs, Mordor, had arisen.

7th episode: The coming of age of Galadriel and the pain of loss 561a2i

Just as the previous episode ended, this one begins: chaos and darkness have enveloped the ancient Southern Lands. Of course, Galadriel survived the great storm from Mount Doom that snatched her away, but at great cost. The shocking vision of a world covered by ash and a red sky is accompanied by the corpses on the ground and the survivors cry for help and pain. Theo, in an unsuccessful search for his mother, s the elf as she leaves the old village.

Next we see Isildur rescuing his companions from under the rubble with the help of Míriel. Unfortunately, we see that Ontamo, a friend of the young soldier who didn't want to fight in any war, had not survived the burial. But, without much time to lose, now with the help of his other companion who managed to escape with his life, Valandil, they rescue children from a burning house. But with the structure badly damaged, the rest of the house collapses, burying Isildur and striking the queen regent with flames in her face.

The Stranger and His Mysteries 4qv4q

We are then taken to the hairy-footed caravan, still distrustful of the Stranger, which will only increase. The emergence of the Mount Doom volcano has also affected places far from where humans suffer, with flames and fireballs spewing out where our little friends momentarily settled. The thriving, green land they sought is slipping away.

Zadok, the elder leader of the hairy feet, tells that dormant volcanoes erupting again was a sign of a new evil on the rise. Meanwhile, the other nomads were trying to pick fruit to eat, but they only found black and completely burnt food, just like their trees.

Seeing this scenario, the Stranger begins another enchantment on one of the trees, being observed by everyone. However, his action almost ends in tragedy, when a branch breaks by the force of his power, falling on a girl, who is saved by Nori. The Stranger's main er, who is repentant, is further and further away from being by her side.

This makes the Weird then be invited to withdraw from the Hairyfeet settlement, and in saying goodbye, Zadok hands him a map with the mysterious stars he is looking for, indicating that perhaps humans can help him find them.

The day after his departure, we see the result of the enchantment of the man in the settlement: all the trees that were burned the day before, turned green and full of fruits in abundance, solving the problem caused by the volcano. At night, the mysterious figures looking for the Stranger continue on their hunt. Still one of the show's biggest mysteries, Dweller is all we know about their leader, but we don't know her real name or her purpose.

Nori warns them that they were heading in the wrong direction, which causes them to threateningly approach little Hairyfoot. Her parents and neighbors defend her with torches, but the one who appears to be the leader only puts out the fire with her hands and, with a spell, destroys all the wagons in the settlement, to the general despair. Once again, they found themselves in trouble for the actions of the girl who wants to be more than just a nomad.

The Hairy Feet show their courage in defending Nori's decision to go after the Stranger to warn him of impending danger and so their friend Poppy, Sadoc and Marigold, one of the man's main opponents, set out on their search together, in a beautiful moment of forgiveness and also perseverance.

Mithril and the conflict between dwarves w4ge

Another important moment of the episode is when the King of the Dwarves denies the pleas for help and offers of Elrond and the elves, his historical rivals, by preventing the mining of Mithril from continuing, defending that he would risk too much the lives of his subjects. When Durin sees that the metal completely heals the leaf of the tree corrupted by darkness, he gains new courage in his quest to help his friend.

After a lot of digging and causing a tremor felt through the entire mountain, Durin finally manages to pierce the rock and we see the metal running down the walls and also into the depths. The celebration of the dwarf and his friend-brother does not last long, with the arrival of King Durin, who orders Elrond to leave and to the excavation. The two then have a big DR between father and son, about how each was betraying his people by helping the elves, which shows the strong resentment the dwarves have against this race. The prince is then stripped of his decoration by the king.

Upon returning home, Durin is comforted by his wife, Disa, who proves too ambitious to be the wife of the next dwarven king and ignites her husband to go after what he believes in, blaming his father for the likely tragic fate of the elves without the metal that can save them. Meanwhile, King Durin throws the elven tree leaf brought by his son to try to convince him to help his friend deep in the Mithril mine and then we see why the king doesn't want to help: when it finally lands, the leaf is instantly burned by the presence of a Balrog!

Is this the same Balrog from Lord of the Rings? (Image: Prime Video)

So far we only have questions: is this the same Balrog that defeated Gandalf in the first film of the trilogy? Lord of the Rings? So is that the explanation for why they were defeated and didn't appear in the mines during the trilogy? We don't know yet, but it was certainly one of the great moments of the episode.

Welcome to Mordor 3x1t57

In the final part of the episode, we see a great rapprochement between Galadriel and Theo, whom she has sworn to transform into a soldier. In this dialogue, we perceive the elf's maturation, as she tried to comfort the boy in a moment of great pain for believing that her mother had died at the hands of the orcs. She talks about how she, too, had lost everything and this had brought her too close to the darkness, feeding on it for revenge.

Galadriel and her very different version of the character seen in Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit was one of the biggest criticisms of fans of the series from the Prime Video, but we see now how the shock made her realize that the darkness only fed more darkness inside her and nothing good had come of this quest for revenge.

At the end of the episode, the pair arrive at the settlement of survivors of the Southern Lands attack, with what remains of Númenor's army. The losses seem to be irreparable for everyone: Theo believes he has lost his mother and Arondir, Elendil grieves the loss of her son Isildur, and Míriel is blinded by fire. Despite this, the Queen Regent does not want to receive pity from the elf, who cries kneeling in front of her, as if asking for forgiveness, she wants war against Adar and her children. And once again Galadriel reignites the fires of battle.

Fortunately for the boy, his mother and Arondir are alive and well, but the same cannot be said for everyone around him. Most are severely injured in the ward, including half rim. Upon visiting the proclaimed King of the Southlands, Galadriel realizes that the wound can only be healed using elven medicine. The two then leave together in search of treatment and also to assume the consequences of their actions, in the case of the elf. The humans will leave for a colony of Númenor to reorganize and prepare for an even greater attack.

Meanwhile, we are taken back to Adar and her children as they wander their new home, a land covered by fire and destruction, and then we finally see a map update on screen: the Southern Lands are no more, we are in Mordor, the home of uruk.

Opinion: a good preparation for what is to come 48562t

The last two episodes of the series were spectacular in of cinematography and also battle, but, in addition, they excite by the pace and events they bring to the plot. At first, many found the plot a bit drawn out, but we've increasingly seen Middle-earth as we know it with Frodo and his friends taking shape.

In addition to seeing the creation of memorable places, we can also see how the races were being taken to the point we know further ahead, with the dwarves in great decline, the elves again strong and isolated, and the humans in search of a leadership. The next two episodes will be the last two of the season and we're so excited for what's to come!
