The new ones AirPods 4 come in two variants: one without noise cancellation and one with. Aesthetically, they are the same and there are no major visible changes compared to previous models. According to Apple , the difference here is the design adjustments, designed to provide more comfort during use. You could say that the new models are a combination of AirPods 2 e AirPods 3, precisely to replace these two in the market.
Both the headphones and the case feature IP54 protection, a rating that indicates a product is resistant to dust and most water splashes. Both now feature a USB-C input in the case, which, by the way, is the smallest ever produced for an Apple headset. And in the noise-canceling version, the case also has wireless charging and for the app Search (find my device) on your iPhone, with a sound alert to help you find it.

Os AirPods 4 With Active Noise Cancellation are Apple's first “basic” headphones to feature this technology. Until then, this was exclusive to the model Pro. This differentiation of models allows the second variant to let you use the modes of adaptive audio (which reduces the sound reproduced depending on the environment), technology (which lets you hear outside sounds) and transparency (which detects when you start talking to someone, to reduce the playback sound and increase the external sound).
Another new feature is the possibility of answering calls, for example, using head gestures, either positively or negatively – this is possible thanks to better integration of the headphones with Siri and the sensors present in the device.
And to improve usability, the headphones also feature the Force Touch – a touch-sensitive area on the stem, designed to access the functions of playing or pausing music and also answering calls.
Regarding sound quality, both headphones come equipped with the Apple Silicon H2, a new, more efficient processor that improves sound quality, combined with a new internal acoustic architecture, promising better results for both bass and treble.

A Apple promises up to 30 hours of total use, considering the case, in the new AirPods 4. It's a reasonable number and is within what we already see in other models from other manufacturers. A single charge promises up to 5 hours of use of the headphones without noise cancellation, or 4 hours with cancellation.
Regarding recharging, the manufacturer mentioned that it will be fast. With 5 minutes in the case, you get approximately 1 hour of audio or about 1 hour of talk time.

Now speaking of the AirPods Pro 2, launched in 2023, they did not receive any significant physical updates, but rather software updates. With a focus on hearing health, Apple announced new features that will allow the brand's most robust headphones to be used as a Hearing Aid. Despite being very interesting, these new features need to go through regulations in each country, so it is not yet known when they will arrive here in Brazil.
