CES 2025 officially kicks off today, and Lenovo is one of the companies that has the most news for the new year. In of portable PC consoles, we got the first details of two Legion Go S with different operating systems, in addition to the first details of the Legion Go 2, which is the successor to the famous 2023 model. With an official weight of 730 grams, the Legion Go S is a more accessible version of legion go 2023. The “S” of the Go line resembles the “Lite” of the Nintendo Switch, as they are more compact versions and without a detachable controller.

The portable PC console from Lenovo will be sold with two processor options: the exclusive Legion Go AMD Ryzen Z2 Go quad-core (also released today) or the processor AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme, which reaches overclock up to 5,1 GHz. The model will also have up to 32 GB of 7500 MHz LPDDR5X RAM for high performance and SSD storage of up to 1 TB.

The battery will be 55 Wh and Lenovo refrained from talking about battery life, but there is a basis for this: legion go The original achieved around 01h30-01h45 in AAA games. The battery will be charged via USB-C connection and the model goes from 0 to 85% in just one hour.

The company entered into a partnership with Valve to put the famous system of Steam deck and, with the resource Remote Play, s can stream games directly from a PC with the Lenovo Legion Go with SteamOS, while having full access to the Steam Store and Steam library, taking advantage of an operating system optimized for portable gaming experiences.

Legion Go 2 prototype 4a2w6v

During its visit to CES 2025, Lenovo also presented a prototype of the Legion Go 2, which for now will have an 8,8-inch screen, the same size as the screen on the first version. The difference is in the type of screen, as the prototype has a touchscreen display OLED PureSight, but the model still has a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The official weight is 1,079 kg and only one color variant Eclipse Black was introduced.

The company mentions that the device is still under development and many changes may occur until launch, but for now it will work with the new processor. AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme with RDNA 3.5 graphics and up to 32 GB of 5Mhz LPDDR7500X RAM. The version on display at the technology fair has 1 TB of internal storage.

The battery has been increased by 25 Whr compared to the first generation Legion Go and now has 75 Whr divided into four cells. The battery life is expected to increase considerably, as AMD's new processor is designed to have low power consumption.

The prototype operating system of the Legion Go 2 runs Windows 11 and has for Wi-Fi 6E, the same present in Legion Go S. It also features only new detachable controls. TrueStrike Legion rounded with a circular D-pad for faster and more accurate inputs, according to Lenovo.

Lenovo's two new portable console PC options will launch later in 2025, but pricing and a specific release date have not yet been announced by the company. This article will be updated as soon as that information is released.
