The Roborock Saros Z70 performs a first inspection and collects items for a complete cleaning. And you can program it to store items wherever you want.

Have you ever imagined a reality in which your vacuum cleaner could clean and also pick up objects scattered around the house? The future is in CES 2025 and the idea of Roborock is being one of the highlights of the largest technology fair in the world. Let's learn more details about the curious robot vacuum cleaner that picks up socks, officially named Saros Z70. 573z3p

With the appearance of a common robot vacuum cleaner, the Saros Z70 is an idea that is validated in ESC 2025. The idea of Roborock is to start a trend and someone had to have the courage to take the first step. In addition to the mechanical arm, it has a power of 22.000 Pa suction, a dual anti-tangle system for the robot's rotating brushes, and dual rotating mops that can not only lift 2,2cm to avoid carpets, but also automatically detach back into the base station when mopping is not needed. It's also only 7,98cm thick.

Speaking specifically about the mechanical arm, it deserves a highlight: the manufacturer defined it as “the first mass-produced foldable robotic arm with five axes”, with the name OmniGrip.

Its body allows it to unfold, expand and also twist horizontally to pick up socks and perform a complete cleaning of the room. The idea here is that the robotic arm does not bump into anything while the robot vacuum cleaner that picks up socks is working.

One of the biggest problems that still seems to be plaguing the friendly robot is that it really takes a long time to do all of its tasks. This is because it requires three steps for it to actually move objects that have fallen around the house. They are:

  1. First, an analysis is carried out throughout the house, at which point any fallen objects are detected and marked in the vacuum cleaner's memory using a camera and LED light;
  2. So, the cleaning actually begins, but, due to not having a basket to store the socks and other items that I find around the house, the Saros Z70 will clean the place and then leave them in the same place;
  3. Only then, when the environment is clean, the robot vacuum cleaner that picks up socks does the final work and collects the items, with the owner being able to select which part of the house everything should be taken in the official Roborock app, which has a 3D map of where you live, developed by the robot.

Yes, it takes time and doing it yourself would be much easier, but those who spend a lot of time away from home can simply put the Saros Z70 to work and, when they get home at night, have their living space completely organized.

A Roborock The company notes that the robot is currently capable of picking up socks, tissues, small towels and sandals weighing less than 300 grams. The company has even said that it can pick up more objects in the future, but the maximum weight should really be this.

The model has a camera and LED sensors that allow it to create a 3D map of where you live. These same items also allow it to identify the type of object that will be removed in the third stage of work.

The model also s the Matter protocol and can be controlled by other devices that follow the same protocol, as well as personal assistants such as Amazon Alexa, Siri (it can even be controlled via Apple Watch) and Google Assistant. Soon, an update will allow it to be even smarter. Which brings us to the next topic.

O Saros Z70 will receive an operating system update that will allow it to recognize 108 Objects of the most diverse types. The new system, which goes by the name of StarSight Autonomous System 2.0, will also allow you to train the robot to recognize specific objects, such as that favorite decorative object or your bag.

The system StarSight fhi launched by another robot from Roborock, Qrevo Slim Robot, and uses 3D time-of-flight, RGB cameras, and machine learning to navigate and identify obstacles. These features will give autonomy to the Saros Z70 premoves obstacles (such as rugs and toys), and the company says that cleaning can be done even if cables are on the floor.

Through the app, you can also see your pets, asking the robot to look for the pet and send a recent photo.

Its charging base also follows the famous traditional design that we know: it is used to recharge the battery, empty the dirt compartment and also refill and drain its water tanks (yes, it also mops the house).

The same base is used to maintain the mops by washing them with water and hot air. The manufacturer states that, due to the fast charging feature, the battery will be completely full in 02h30.

Still under development, the Roborock will use the CES 2025 to test the robot vacuum cleaner with a mechanical arm and collect from people around the world. A price for the model has not yet been announced, but the manufacturer says it will be sold in the US in 2025.

Market experts say the price could be around US$1.599,99 (R$9,742 in direct conversion) for a similar model, but with less suction power, also manufactured by Roborock. Would you have a device like this in your home? Tell us about it. Comment!
