Housing colony on the Red Planet 6h4728
Although space travel is a very recent subject for humans, the advances we have made over the years are increasing. And the progress doesn't stop there.
It was recently reported that three architects are working on building a housing colony to be installed on Mars. Burak Celik, Naz Kaplan e Zeynep Ege Odabasi are working at chjamada Genesis v.2, a prototype house with extraterrestrial design to be inhabited by humans, with a sustainable footprint. After all, enough pollution on just one planet, right?

The project is being developed to respond precisely to the conditions imposed by the environment of the Red Planet, with a system of adjustments according to the new colonizations. Basically, the colony will be installed in a natural crater on the planet, that is, it will be in a circular shape, and it will be able to expand according to the number of human beings that settle there. This decision was made so that the colony can adapt as well as possible to the geographic levels of Mars.
The concept behind the project's name refers to NASA's Genesis mission, which is responsible for research into our cosmic origin. One of the main fundamentals here is the great balance between consumption, production and people protection. After all, the surface of Mars is filled with radiation. The solution to this lies in the plan to build the colony in the craters. Its high technology will be able to react to changes in light, temperature and other weather conditions.
In this case, Genesis v.2 indicates the beginning of popularization on another planet according to our experiences on Earth. Have you ever thought about living off Earth?

Electric car from “Back to the Future” 5d6b51
One of the films that most marked the 90's was definitely Back to the Future. If you don't already know him, he's a young man who goes back in time after an experiment with a scientist. His main vehicle was a very futuristic car for the time. Such a vehicle was developed by the DeLorean company, which ended up leaving its mark on automotive history and, of course, bringing an icon to pop culture.

Surfing the wave of nostalgia for movies and series, DeLorean developed a version of the same model seen in Back to the Future, however, with electric operation - and, this time without that collector's talk, as this vehicle will be marketed normally.
One of the most striking features of this car are the doors that open upwards, giving the car a “flying” look, as if the wings were open.
There are still not many details about the new model, but what is known is that it will be called DeloreanEVolved and that it will be a luxury electric car. Interested consumers will be able to purchase it later this year — and it will likely cost a fortune.

New electric hydrofoil speedboat 383m53
A Candle, a motorboat company, announced its newest model for the market: the C-8. It is an electric hydrofoil boat that follows what was seen in its predecessor, the C-7, however, it presents improvements in reducing energy consumption and increasing speed.
According to the company, it is possible to save up to 80% of energy compared to a traditional model. Top speed reaches 29,6 km/h.
Moving through water requires a lot of energy, which, over time, has become a major challenge for engineers and other professionals in the field. One way to deal with this problem is precisely by using the hydrofoil system, which are thin platforms that are located on the vehicle, just below the surface of the water.

As they lift the vessel off the surface, friction with the water is reduced. Consequently, this process also reduces the effort of the vehicle to work and, therefore, the energy spent in movement is much less.
Another aspect that owners of this model will love is the speedboat's low maintenance cost. The motor used is the C-POD, which operates at 50 kW. According to the manufacturer, this engine has an almost unlimited useful life, since it can reach the mark of 4 thousand hours worked without the need for maintenance.
The C-8 also has an autopilot tool. Candela also said there are plans to implement a long-term satellite geolocation system. Inside, the speedboat has a cabin for two people and an internal space for resting. It is possible to customize the model and include one more space for a bathroom with a shower.
The popularity and demand for vehicles with hydrofolic technology is on the rise, being the new trend in the marine market. Gustav Hasselskog, founder and CEO of Candela, claims that the C-8 model has already become the best-selling electric speedboat in Europe. These and other ideas that promote the preservation of the environment are always welcome.
Production of the C-8 began in January and the model is now available for pre-sale through the Candela website at a price of 290 euros, excluding taxes. In conversion, this can exceed 1 million and 600 thousand reais. What an investment, huh?
