It was like that with Matrix, The Mummy, Friday the 13th e Power Rangers. Our beloved group of five teenagers who gain ninja skills and wear tights are the ball of the time.
Just ing the details of the original series, made of a mix between recordings with American characters and taking advantage of the fight scenes recorded in the original Japanese version - called Super sentai – we see that everything was a bit “rough”. Teenagers weren't so teenagers, Yellow Ranger it was a man during the fight scenes (because the character is male in the Japanese version) and the special effects were worthy of a XNUMXs series. You can check these and other details in the post about the curious facts from the original series.
So, with the premiere of the film this Friday (24), many must be thinking that the film will be a disaster. But, to our delight, this is not so.
the new movie of Power Rangers it's that nice slap in the face of someone who has always put faith in current productions DC Comics and derided the idea of the five colorful superheroes hitting the screens. And this movie works, because the studio needed to guarantee a good product to sustain the existence of a new franchise, since the Lionsgate had to say goodbye to Hunger Games. And the creative team had really good ideas.
The film's proposal seems to understand everything that kept non-fans of the series away. The language of the film and ended all stereotypes of episodes of Power Rangers: perfect teenagers and school darlings, costume made up of clothes in the same colors as the respective warriors, transformation that gives full powers and battle knowledge and, of course, the slow transformation of small robots into a big one megazord (while the enemy patiently waited for the pieces to come together).

Far from the cliché, a plot has entered that follows the opposite path of the comfort zone of the blockbusters and only delivers the action after allowing himself to develop his characters. An example of this is the charismatic Billy cranston (Rj cyler), Or blue ranger, which is one of the highlights of the film. But, of course, not everything is rosy and there are points where the film didn't get it right.
