Absolutely one of the most anticipated games of the year, Cyberpunk 2077 was released on the 10th of this month to PC, Xbox One e PlayStation 4. Containing RPG elements and a setting worthy of the genre (cyberpunk), since the game's announcement 8 years ago, the public has only accumulated the hyping for the darling potential of the decade. Unfortunately, due to performance problems on the three platforms, the game disappointed and received reasonable criticism, especially from those who pre-ordered and paid hundreds of reais for a dysfunctional product. 72t5w
On this Monday, the developer CD Project Red, also abbreviated as CDPR, published an official statement acknowledging the performance especially on consoles, with the guarantee that they will do everything possible to fix the errors (after this holiday period, of course). Like it or not, the game is for sale and we say that it does have certain highlights.
As a way of understanding cross-generational performance, we tested Cyberpunk 2077 on the three launch pads and through backwards compatibility No. PS5 e Xbox Series X, recounting our experience below. It is worth mentioning that the base of the game, being the story and the mechanics themselves, are a standard among all generations. This review will compile precisely the proposals of the Cyberpunk 2077 and how each element works in practice.
History 6r4t5f
Before the game starts, you have the option to customize your character, both visually and in the distribution of skill points. Regardless of gender, he receives the same name: V. So, there are three options for background of life to choose from, being they marginal, governance ou nomadic. Each is important in dictating how your prologue will play out, also enabling unique dialogue options throughout the story.
Speaking of which, the proposal is quite simple. You are a cybernetically modified outlaw, looking to make your mark by fulfilling missions for different gangs of Night City. Fighting against a large corporation (as it should be, in such a dystopian narrative), you accidentally place a biochip infected in his own head and begins to have visions of none other than rocker Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves. However, if you fail to remove this chip, both will die.

The history of Cyberpunk 2077 from then on, it unfolds in plots of investigation and corruption, filled with blackmail, greed and thirst for revenge. ing that Cyberpunk was based on the tabletop RPG universe that bears the same (first) name. As far as I followed lists and videos that dissect this world, the game proves to be very faithful and respectful to its base.
The high standard is starting with the performances and characters, all memorable and with Backgrounds intriguing. Cyberpunk 2077 has been separated into a main tab and sidequests (or side quests) that quadruple the game time taken to complete. In bold execution, the serious and almost urgent tone of the story is taken over by the humor and fun we see in the optional missions.
Regardless of the path chosen, there are approx. 25 hours until you reach the final mission. In addition, for those who want to venture: as sometimes happens in open world games, the final mission prevents you from exploring the map again, so it is suggested to do everything and leave your character well equipped before starting it. Otherwise, you can create a file immediately beforehand, and if you choose to, you will be happy with 50 hours additional.

A fallacy communicated since the first trailers of Cyberpunk 2077 was that there would be choices to be made, in a dynamic narrative, like any self-respecting RPG. However, I advance that five possible endings, among them four depend on completing questlines and another is a conclusion based on another variable (a secret ending that we won't give spoiler here). It turns out that to get to these endings, you don't have to make specific long-term choices, or develop relationships, or anything that complex.
The variables by irony are not in dialogues, as many thought, for being a normal role-playing game. even the recent Assassin's Creed bring a more creative formula, with events in the “middle” of the story dictating exactly how its conclusion will be. In Cyberpunk 2077, it doesn't matter if you choose to sacrifice one person, if you start dating someone else or something like that, because the final mission will be the same. The choices of how it will end are only possible within the mission itself – hence we see the “multiple endings".
Gameplay 106d5e
Solely and exclusively in first person (except in vehicles), CDPR's proposal with Cyberpunk 2077 is just one: to make you feel in the protagonist's skin. The gameplay in general is based on loot, to what certain people may find similar to the subgenre “looter-shooter", as the acclaimed Destiny, Borderlands e Tom Clancy's The Division. You kill people, collect items, create or buy others, and so on.
Relocating items in the inventory can be a hindrance for those unaccustomed to RPGs, but it turns out to be almost therapeutic after an action-packed mission. Create Items (craft) and upgrading equipment is almost a routine to be established. A highlight: if you happen to like a weapon in the first few hours of the game, you can use parts in your inventory and modifications to make it a priority until the end of the campaign. Cyberpunk 2077.

On the technology pillar, when we talk about the construction and evolution of the character, there is a good marriage between cybernetic modifications and pure biology. There's an operating, circulatory, nervous system, and more fanciful additional changes like double jumping (reinforced hamstrings), strong arms ("gorilla arms“) and sharp claws that can come out of your forearm. Respected surgeons and some clandestine people do the trick, in clinics throughout the city.
Still about tech, in general, the game does not encourage the hack of items. Even though there is the opportunity for this when raiding locations, it is an expendable practice. You use your own RAM (yes, from your own operating system) to open doors, turn off cameras, and divert attention from enemies. You can even Hacked computers, under the pressure of a stopwatch, to mine data for cash if you feel it necessary, but shooting your machine gun can make for a much better experience.
Returning to the RPG elements, it is important to say that there are also skill trees (or tree of skills, even if it sounds comical) where you distribute acquired points. Different tabs let you choose from several attributes, grouped between reflexes, body and intelligence, for example. To spend these points, you need to reach a minimum level within groups, with the option to dictate whether you prioritize melee attack, hacks speed or agility with firearms. The vast majority are ive, so don't be put off thinking that there are dozens of combat options.

Oftentimes Cyberpunk 2077 requires you to have a certain skill level to follow unique paths – physically, by opening doors, or even through specific dialogue options. So it's a shame that the most efficient choice is to save these points and only use them when necessary, because you can always pause and assign them to what you find useful. From these diverse options, you have the freedom to choose to carry out missions stealthily, without alerting enemies, or to start exchanging fire.
By the way, in relation to combat (armed or hand-to-hand), we have issues to be discussed for both good and bad. Since the game is almost 100% first-person, the idea of it straying from a first-person shooter (FPS) manages to attract fans of classic RPGs and scare away addicts to franchises like that of Call of Duty. O gut feeling. of weapons does not disappoint, however, it could be better calibrated when thinking about the different classes to choose from.
Given that you can also choose to defeat enemies based on the dodge and katana combo, Cyberpunk 2077 introduces strong logic to combat. During the sidequests, you are faced with enemies too agile to “shoot out”, which encourages you to equip sword or knives of sizes and tech many different. The cybernetic modifications are also in the firearms: by far the most fun is the class with homing bullets.

From the aesthetic point of view of V customization, we have a trivial RPG issue. Strong armor won't always match another piece of clothing, everyone knows that. In Cyberpunk 2077, with a rich and colorful look (from the game box!), it was expected that clothing options could be better, without affecting a look that better camouflages in the context of Night City. For hours, the sturdiest outfit I had, for example, was a pair of short denim shorts, which didn't match my military jacket and vest at all. Nothing but visits to clothing stores and item upgrades to try to “fool” the eyes.
Well, if you found the praise strange for now, don't worry, because gameplay problems related to glitches of the game are with a specific section, Right below. Furthermore, we need to talk about a very important and positive part of Cyberpunk 2077: the construction of universe.
Cyberpunk atmosphere 4q6511
The only real strong point of Cyberpunk 2077 is the city's concept and artistic direction, in creating this unique setting. borrowing from Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Battle Angel Alita, and the splendid Blade Runner, Night City enchants science fiction fans from the very first minutes. It is recalled here that almost all of the following accolades are credited solely to the Cyberpunk tabletop RPG, which CDPR appropriated to illustrate the cross-platform game.

The attention to detail in creating the atmosphere is clear, starting with the obvious currency of the year, the Eurodollar. Graffiti marks the presence of gangs; the police are on the lookout with frightening technologies; explicitly sexualized ments appear on every street corner. Especially to more attentive gamers, I say that the soundtrack of Cyberpunk 2077 is fantastic, with original compositions by the fictional band Samurai, by Johnny Silverhand (unfortunately, these are not songs sung by Keanu Reeves).
Around Night City, we have restaurants, autonomous vehicles, hookers, bars to get drunk and opportunities to come across new job options. There are fast travel points scattered across the map, along with every kind of trade imaginable. Means of transport are cars and motorcycles, but just by looking at the sky and seeing flying cars you understand the potential of this futuristic world, which unites technology, pollution and destruction.

The one thing I particularly missed was an explanation for the current state of this dystopian future. We know through one or the other flashback what happens in previous years, but nothing is “chewed” as it could. Even those looking for text files in the game's information base (like this one you're talking about) will have a hard time finding a relevant file to delve into the universe.
If CDPR had its real basis in other works of the genre (besides the tabletop RPG), a lot could be learned from the most obvious example of pop culture, which is Blade Runner. The film's introduction contextualizes the viewer like no other product, bluntly. In case the idea of Cyberpunk was to leave this time interval purposely vacant, there we find a real conceptual problem. However, I would like to believe that this was not the case, given that everything else, artistically, was masterfully done.
mechanical failures and glitches 6v1q3b
If when dealing with art this game impresses, with the bizarre graphical errors it breaks the immersion completely. There is nothing worse than feeling inside the cyberpunk world, driving a vehicle at night, fascinated by the neon lights reflected in the rain, and suddenly colliding with an invisible object in the middle of the street. Or get out of your own car and when you get back, a random person is behind the wheel – forcing you to “steal” your own vehicle. Cyberpunk 2077 it was brimming with disappointments from the poorly polished basics of modern AAA games.

The biggest problem is not glitches visuals (characters walking through doors, invisible weapons, dialogues that come out of closed mouths), but in the errors mechanics able to break Cyberpunk 2077. There are dozens of examples, to the point that you can fill this entire review with just the list of problems found in the game.
Certain missions prevent you from completing the objective, as you need to accompany someone to a point on the map, but the person's animation never happens. Or worse, when she gets there, the quest status doesn't proceed. Even another common error of auto-save point games (such as Cyberpunk), is when you die just before the game saves. This forces you to go back minutes in the past, to the game you saved yourself, or to another automatic file that precedes the event.
By lot, glitches Bizarre events happen a few times throughout the main missions of the game, which positively balances (in a way) the experience of those who “just” want to enjoy the narrative. Even so, some are quite funny. At the showmetech trio published this week, we've compiled some of them. Watch:
Aside from missions, we have other failures of gameplay when dealing with controls, regardless of platform (Xbox, PlayStation or PC joysticks). Most of the time, these are contextual issues. If you brake your car and then get out of it, your aim will be locked with zoom; the skip lines of dialogue and crouch button are the same, which can result in intense physical exercise in the middle of a conversation; menus where simply pressing X (Xbox controller) or square (PlayStation) to confirm selection sometimes does not work; among other complete disasters.
By far the kind of glitch most frustrating is when a character becomes invincible, and you have to fight them to complete the mission objective. Car racing makes up one of the lines of sidequests equally broken, because it doesn't matter if you're in the lead, the competitors' cars will always be a few meters away, in the rear. If you activate photo mode, you see that they can even float before reappearing. The advantage logic of being a leader is not applied in the Cyberpunk 2077, with 100% scripted runs.
And on the “positive” side, players on all platforms can abuse the flaws to duplicate items, add experience points and raise more money in a variety of ways – all it takes is a quick online search on YouTube channels to find the so-called exploits. Those who opt for this style of play may find it even more fun (even if it's wrongly exploring the glitches) to finish the game, until CDPR fixes most of the problems.
Cyberpunk 2077 performance on platforms u3124

As if the list of problems, weaknesses in performance of Cyberpunk 2077 are found on all console generations and, by our tests, even on PC. Overall, it was poorly optimized for consoles, both old and new gen.
As a reminder, the released versions (which we tested here on showmetech) were all from Xbox One and PS4 and backward compatible on Xbox Series X and PS5, as the Cyberpunk 2077 should only arrive for new consoles from next year. Apparently, CDPR still has a lot to do in the current generation. Next, check out the reports of those who played, on consoles and on PC.
Xbox Series X — by Allan Camilo 4lm3s
My first game Cyberpunk 2077 in the dawn of launch anticipated any negative point of the rain of criticism that would come (for me and for the rest of the internet). With the first update, out of the total of two that came up until this publication went live, I was taken by the anxiety of playing the game I've been waiting for so long. On a newly released console, there's no reason for problems, right?
Over my 35+ hours of gameplay, I couldn't be more wrong to praise (and pre-order) the Cyberpunk 2077. The story, short, at least worked without so many mechanical problems, but this was the only point in the game where I didn't come across a completely broken experience. Any side quest apart there was at least one error capable of destroying them entirely.

Only on Monday this week, I had more errors than usual, especially when dealing with access to the map. The game froze and ended by itself for a total of 4 times in less than two hours, just by navigating between fast travel points (and consulting nearby missions). As a consequence, I had to guide myself basically without opening the menu. Apart from these freezes, when walking around the city, I occasionally had to see the image freeze for about 10 seconds – several times, regardless of where I was. In the 35 hours, I believe this happened 10 or 12 times.
For Brazilian Xbox owners, a problem right at launch was the absence of lines of dialogue: on the first day, the subtitles even appeared, however, without being accompanied by audio. This was even prioritized in the game's first major update, as reported by CDPR's extensive list. To resolve the issue before the update went live, I had to the English language file and restore the game.

The only point worth mentioning (positive) was the loading agile, with a maximum of 10 seconds between charging a save and take quick trips to the other side of the map. But again: what's the point of opening a game quickly whose performance is broken? To compensate, the option of choosing to prioritize fluidity (frames per second) over graphic resolution brought me less headache – literally and figuratively.
Cyberpunk 2077 it was a disaster on console release. In particular, the best-case scenario is that something similar to No Man's Sky. In a few years and, who knows, even in the next few months of 2021, we will have what we were promised with the game. Really?

The year 2015 was marked by the release of great games, and great games with countless technical problems. Batman Arkham Knight maybe it's the perfect example. The conclusion of a phenomenal saga marked by so much adversity on computers and consoles, considerably tarnishing a unique release. That same year, peculiarly, was released The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, one of the most incredible works of art in the world of games, and curiously with an equally complicated release, but forgotten by the genius of its content.
Years later, the public and fans of CDPR expected a launch worthy of the platform, which has always had good eyes from the developer. In exchange for trust, pre orders, and a lot of waiting on the part of the players, they received a game that borders on the unacceptable. Problems, rocks in the way and small slips are normal, but throwing Cyberpunk 2077 with so many flaws for the PC community it's an immeasurable mistake.

Months before its hyped release, CDPR was already preaching illusion to fans by promising completely illusory minimum recommended specs. Running a game of such magnitude in a AMD Ryzen 3 3200g, or asking for 8GB of RAM sounded too impossible to be true. Unfortunately, the requested processor cannot withstand external environments and 8 GB of RAM will cause constant stuttering.
However, the biggest problem is not that the recommended minimum settings do not match reality. The big problem is a tedious and guided optimization for high-end hardware, excluding part of the player base with modest specifications, and let's face it, encomes a frighteningly large universe space.
In our tests we used an input processor, i5 6600, 16GB RAM and an RX 480 with 8GB VRAM. The results were a game horrifying in low quality with stutterings between 30 and 40 frames, dropping steadily to 24 frames in Full HD resolution. It is true that open world games tend to consume a lot of U, after all we have a world to process, AI, NPCs, random events, etc, and just 4 cores are not enough for that. For the video card, the result was also minimally different from what it could deliver.

My biggest surprise is not Cyberpunk 2077 not run in our test setups. My biggest surprise is Cyberpunk 2077 not even get what Red Dead Redemption 2 can do, and we're talking about another poorly optimized game, but that faces hardware in a much higher proportion. Rockstar's game manages to run on this same hardware at high (with one or another filter disabled) at 60 frames constantly, but Cyberpunk 2077, which is nothing innovative or surprising in of graphic quality, cannot.
The total problem is not just a poorly optimized or buggy game, but a poorly optimized and buggy game that has nothing unique to offer in technical and graphical issues, becoming just a paperweight for gamers with PCs more modest. And in the end, unlike Batman Arkham Knight, this one, even with its hundreds of problems, was more pleasant to play.
PlayStation 5 — by Luís Antônio Costa 3q3j51
Since its announcement in 2012, Cyberpunk 2077 has become one of the most hyped games in the digital entertainment industry. With its development started after the completion of the last DLC of The Witcher 3 (Blood and Wine), no less was expected than a digital artwork from developer CD Projekt Red. Unfortunately, the result of nearly 8 years of development was a broken game that failed to deliver on many promises to gamers.
However, contrary to the poor performance of the game both in PS4 original as in the Pro model, the same technical problems do not occur when Cyberpunk is running on a PS5. The frame rate stays at 60 FPS most of the time, the resolution is above 1080p and the loading of textures doesn't suffer any problems. However, the question remains why the PS4 version is running so satisfactorily on the PS5 when the version for this last console hasn't even been released yet.

Definitely, if you have the opportunity to play the game on a PS5, dive into the dystopian world of Night City created by CD Projekt Red. If you can only play the game on a base PS4 or Pro, it is highly recommended that you wait for the next game updates to have a satisfying experience at the very least.
Despite the technical problems, CD Projekt Red's impressive achievement in creating a world with a cyberpunk atmosphere is undeniable, inspired by the best aspects of films such as Blade Runner and anime like Akira e Ghost in the Shell. The simple but refined gameplay that combines action with RPG along with a good quality story and outstanding characters creates an experience that could be almost perfect if it weren't for the amount of bugs and glitches that, even though they occur in lesser amounts on PS5, can hamper the journey. of the player.
Having such a troubled launch is not exclusive to Cyberpunk 2077, as a more recent example of this same problem in the world of games can be found in the case of No Man's Sky, released in 2016. Even without many technical problems, the game did not fulfill most of its launch promises and, after heavy criticism, underwent several updates and was recently elected by the The Game Awards the “Best Game in Progress”.
As in No Man's Sky, Cyberpunk 2077 has an incredible and innovative proposal, but it seriously fails to execute it. Even so, if an effort is made and the developers take the time to fix the problems, Cyberpunk 2077 still has many chances to gain a new life and be seen with different eyes in the not too distant future.
Conclusion 60664y
Cyberpunk 2077 got the concept right and made a big mistake in the execution. The entire potential of a dystopian, futuristic and immersive universe was roughly blended in a blender, resulting in a sloppy product. This is crucial when summarizing that one of the most anticipated titles of the year basically doesn't work on any machine. In other words, unless you have a gaming desktop equipped with the best on the market, it is unlikely that you will have a reasonable performance. Cyberpunk 2077.
Even without dropped frames and good resolution visuals, it has to be reiterated that there is strong game potential, but no one can ignore the terrible technical flaws glitches – capable of frustrating even the most patient of Tibetan monks. However, those who chose to ignore the mistakes completely and played once until the end, having fun at least 70% of the time, may even find an extra “gas” to risk a second or third game. That's if the player wants to kill the curiosity of the alternative intros on their own, in the first few minutes of the game, as the ending may well be the same.

A lot was promised and dozens of mistakes were said (and repeated) by developer CD Projekt Red, in of freedom of choice, game performance and even about the depth of the universe - the latter, the only strong point of the game, which was appropriate of a tabletop RPG (i.e. the only quality is not even original to the game). In fact: a shame the few attributes of the game are suffocated by the dismal performance, on any platform. By ironic conclusion, Cyberpunk 2077 packs the final stretch of 2020, a year that in itself would make a “beautiful” dystopian story.
You can find Cyberpunk 2077 for PC at Steam (R$199), Epic Games (R$199) e GOG (BRL 199); for Xbox in digital version at Microsoft Store (R$249) and physical media in Americans (R$ 251); and PS4 only physical media in Americans (R$ 251) - at Sony suspended the sale of digital copies of the game, due to the problems presented.
And then you played Cyberpunk 2077 on some platform? Were you disappointed with the experience or were you able to enjoy this title? Tell us in the comments!
