Aimed at gamers, the model has an attractive design and good sound quality behind its 50 mm drivers.

Facing Gamers, EKSA Star Engine E5000 Pro is a pleasant surprise that hits the market this year 2022. With 50mm drivers with 55 Ohm impedance e 112 dB sensitivity, he delivers 7.1 surround sound and brings a robust and aesthetically beautiful body. 2e2c41

But do all these specifications translate into a good and balanced sound quality? In this article, I tell you everything I thought about the headset from EX!

Design and construction 5k2i6f

EKSA E5000 Pro packaging comes with a bag, several cables for connection, in addition to the manual, microphone and the headset itself (Playback/Internet)

If there's one thing you can't deny, it's the beautiful style and comfort that the E5000Pro brings, important features for those who want equipment to spend hours playing games. O headset Offers oversized memory foam, which makes it incredibly comfortable even in prolonged use. Foam is also present in the adjustable headband, which, like the ear pads, is covered in a soft faux leather material.

Weighing 325g, headset it may seem a little heavier for s who are not used to using equipment as robust as this. However, it does not deviate from the standard of other more models, such as the HyperX Revolver, model that I use daily. But you don't have to worry if you're not used to it, because you'll be able to use it for hours without fatigue, adapting in a short time of use. The headset also stays firmly on the head, even when moving, but without exerting uncomfortable pressure like some models out there.

on the sides of headset, you find a circular metal mesh covering the logo of the EX, illuminated by green LEDs. Although beautiful and bright, a negative point is the fact that you can't customize this lighting. It is also worth ing that it only works when connecting the headset using USB-C cable, not working when using 3,5mm cable.

A very interesting point that I particularly loved is the fact that the cable that connects to the computer and the microphone are completely detachable, making it possible to leave only the headset itself. This facilitates transport and prevents the cables from being damaged, as it is possible to remove them and store them more securely in a case, for example.

On the back of the left earcup are integrated controls. There, there are buttons to switch between stereo and 7.1 surround sound, mute the microphone and change the volume level. The USB-C input and detachable microphone are also located in this region. I confess that this location and proximity of the buttons did not please me for two reasons: the first is that it is very common to bump into the volume button when changing the audio mode, for example. And the second is the practicality is not the best. For me, it is much more functional to place these controls directly on the cable, as is the case with most models available on the market. But maybe it's just a matter of habit.

Side LEDs give charm to the headset, although there is no possibility of any type of customization (Otávio Queiroz/Showmetech)

The sound quality of E5000Pro It was something that positively surprised me. Obviously, you can't compare with models from brands like HyperX e Corsair, mainly because the device EX cannot maintain the quality at all frequencies like the most famous brands. However, it does very well in many uses, including within games, the main application.

With 50mm drivers with 55 Ohm impedance e 112 dB sensitivity, headset lets you switch between stereo and 7.1 surround sound using the button on the headset, or connect the headset to your computer and adjust the sound via the companion app (which we'll get to in a moment).

It's worth noting that surround sound and customizable EQ are only available using the USB cable and not the 3,5mm cable. Also, for now, the desktop app EX is only available to s of the Windows, for now those who use macOS or Linux have no customization option of any kind.

7.1 surround sound delivers a satisfying gaming experience (Otávio Queiroz/Showmetech)

As well as the overall sound quality, the 7.1 surround sound of the E5000Pro also works well, providing greater immersion during games. Creating an incredible and immersive surround sound experience in a headset with these characteristics is not easy, this model stands out positively for efficiently indicating the position of enemies on the map through noise, as well as indicating where enemies are coming from. shots are coming too

The microphone quality is unsurprising and delivers on the basics. It also lacks active noise cancellation, but it does at least provide ive noise cancellation, which, while not blocking everything, prevents background noise from leaking into voice apps.

EKSA's Star Engine E5000 Pro is a great choice for anyone who wants a gaming headset that can be used for hours (Otávio Queiroz/Showmetech)

O Star Engine E5000 Pro da EX It is a great option for those who want a headset for games that can be used for hours. It brings comfort and sound quality, essential features if you want a headset to spend most of your time in front of the console or PC. Furthermore, it is good value for money. At the AliExpress, you can find it by R$333,00, a great price for what the equipment delivers.

The 7.1 surround system works well despite being a virtual implementation and will definitely allow players to better identify the origin of sounds within the game. Don't expect high fidelity audiophile-grade sound reproduction, because they weren't built for that purpose.
