Recapping the first Dune 681ze

To understand the story of the second part, it is obviously necessary to understand everything that happened in the first. The truth is that a large part of the public expressed their opinion on social media, demonstrating that they did not understand much of the plot. So how to understand everything about Dune?
We are talking about a very distant future. Like any science fiction, it addresses a scenario where planet Earth has already become extinct, including the use of machines. This is where the story stands out, as it portrays a moment in which the technology that we currently know and aspire to grow, was defeated by humans, as it ended up becoming an evil in society. This is why, for example, arrakis, the famous central planet of the story, does not appear to be modern.
When it comes to the narrative, we are presented with the Paul Atreides, the protagonist, who is nothing more than the son of the leader of one of the large planets. Just like in Star Wars, for example, in Dune there is also an Intergalactic Empire where there is an emperor in charge of everything. It is based on his decision that Paul's father, the Duke Leto, takes power over Arrakis, the main planet where the famous spice is found mixed. This product is produced by sand worms that live buried in the place, hence the importance of the desert planet in the entire plot.

It turns out that Arrakis was, until then, owned by the family harkonnen — which we know as the main enemies of the protagonist and his family. Faced with this change of power over the planet, they want revenge. In the midst of all this, we have Paul's great dilemma involving the fremen, people originally from Arrakis, and their history in relation to the possibility of being destined to be a prophet and the project of a sect.
With all the war going on between the Atreides and the Harkonnen in Dune, Paul and his mother Jessica they flee, being rescued by Fremen in the desert. For this tribe, the protagonist is precisely the messiah who, according to their religion, would one day come to save them. Based on this culture, Paul is nothing less than the great Lisan Al-Gaib. However, for Bene Gesserit, a powerful sect of women that influences the politics of the Empire, he may also be the greatest Kwisatz Haderach, individual man who would lead the future of humanity. It is from there that the first film of Dune leads us to the expected climax of the entire story in Dune: Part 2.
In short, the film gives us an introduction to the universe, telling the story of a boy destined to be two different great powers. At the same time, he is still getting to know himself and trying to understand his natural powers, which explains his visions and dreams with the character. Chani calling him in the desert. These are just signs of someone destined to become a leader at some point. Meanwhile, family war rages, and once his father dies, he and his mother find themselves finding refuge with their new people.
Dune Synopsis: Part 2 472v8

Dune: Part 2 will follow the journey of Paul Atreides in a somewhat different way than what we saw in part one. While the first film was responsible for introducing us to the universe, the story, in fact, begins now.
According to the official synopsis of Warner Bros. Pictures, the film will “explore Paul's journey to seek revenge on the conspirators who destroyed his family, now alongside Chani and the Fremen. Faced with the choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he will give his all to avoid the terrible future that only he can predict.“. Basically, Paul and Jessica will be immersed in Fremen culture and learn everything, as they will live with the people and the other planets will believe that they both died.
In the midst of this, we will also be able to see the development of his romance with Chani, who was always present in his dreams and definitively appeared at the end of the first film. A few years will , where Paul will gain more maturity and finally enter into his role as a great leader, adopting the name of Paul Muad'Dib among the Fremen. It is in this sequence that we will also be introduced to a very important figure in the clash with the protagonist: Feyd-Rautha, from the Harkonnen family.
The entire plot will cover the preparation of a new war that is much bloodier than the previous one, as now it will not only be revenge moving the opponents, but also the resistance of the Fremen people who, throughout their lives, have been discriminated against and subjugated. However, if we just consider what happens to Paul, we will be able to understand the future of the story a little better, after all, the protagonist's prescience will now be much more active than before. It is because of this that he will be fighting, above all, to avoid a dangerous future that only he can see.
Trailer analysis and expectations 1v2t3i
Since the announcement of the date of Dune: Part 2, Many teasers and trailers were released, but to do a complete analysis, given the variety of important scenes and dialogues, we selected the last one for this. Don't worry, the text does not contain any spoilers.
According to the director Denis Villeneuve., it is known that much of the story, if not all, will take place based on the development of the relationship between Paul and Chani. The trailer already reveals one of the protagonist's many prescient dreams, right before being woken up by the Fremen. Next, we are presented with a scene from Water of life, something very important in the culture of the people of Arrakis. This is a part of the film where Paul and, especially, Jessica, will officially become part of the tribe.
Furthermore, the trailer seeks to gradually increase the suspense when it shows flashes of war scenes and even a brief appearance of the princess Irulan. But it is then that, narrated by Paul's voice, we see him touch the sand with some distress. According to his words, the future is uncertain and definitely demonstrates that all his visions lead to a dark outcome. This is the great dilemma that the protagonist will live in Dune: Part 2, because he knows that there are situations that he will not be able to escape. Still, because he is not able to see exactly everything, the rebellion and resistance of the Fremen people is the only solution.
Some more conflict scenes are shown, including the beginning of what would probably be the battle with Paul and Chani carrying weapons and shooting at ornithopters enemy (transport vehicles). The trailer also manages to capture very well the evolution of the main character in just a few minutes, when it begins by showing him still in confusion and, gradually, gaining a leadership position. This is one of the great pillars, as the entire story also stems from his evolution and change in behavior.

A sample of the dialogues Emperor can also be seen, as well as a small demonstration for the public of who Feyd-Rautha and what to expect from it. The black and white colors also help to tell a little of this narrative of the core of villains. This was a question many people had when watching the trailer, but what it seems is precisely a visual touch to differentiate Giedi Prime, family home planet harkonnen, from Arrakis.
In the main part of the action we see when the sandworms finally appear, most likely at the time of the battle, since the sandworms finally appear. Sardaukar, soldiers of the Empire, become afraid and flee. At this point in the trailer, we are also faced with a more vengeful Paul, exemplified mainly when we hear him yell at the Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam — the one who, in the first film, was responsible for carrying out the test Gom Jabbar with the protagonist right at the beginning.
Still, one of the main and differentiating points of the entire story is Chani's arc. Until then, we were introduced to her through a small appearance, but now the character will show a much stronger and more striking personality, with a large role in the production. Something to highlight, in fact, is her dialogue about the importance of this entire war in favor of the resistance of her people. The prophecy reported in the story is something that seems to bother her about the enslavement of her people.
In general, Dune: Part 2 will present us:
- More action scenes;
- Greater participation of each character;
- Expanded universe;
- A more enhanced climax;
- Rounder and finally explanatory plot;
- New figures in the cast.
Part 1 was just an appetizer, part 2 will be the main course. (…) He is more muscular [than the first]. The title also brings a beautiful love story.

Feyd-Rautha (Austin Butler) is the nephew of Baron Harkonnen and the main villain in this new sequel. This will be the first time that we will be introduced to the antagonist, who will have his main focus on dueling with Paul. His personality is more focused on what is characterized as “psychotic”, demonstrating the type of dangerous character and how much responsibility he will have in the tone of the new film.
Em Dune: Part 2, while we will follow Paul's preparation on one side, on the other, we will understand what to expect from Feyd, given that he is an excellent fighter. He is also his uncle's option to be his successor and ruler of Arrakis in the future.

Irulan (Florence Pugh) is a Bene Gesserit, daughter of the Emperor Shaddam IV and, therefore, princess of the Empire. As part of the new core of Dune, your role will remain important to understand the plot from a different perspective. Still, he is a mysterious character who can hardly be read completely.

Emperor Shaddam IV 3n5gx

O Emperor Shaddam IV (Christopher Walken) He is the great leader of the Empire. This will also be the first time we see him, being a fundamental participation in understanding his vision on everything.
Em Dune: Part 2, because he is a character involved in politics, he will be a vital part of understanding schemes and other issues that, until the end of the first film, had not yet been revealed. Much of the meaning of the story will be answered by the character.
Lady Margot 4828e

Lady Margot (Léa Seydoux) comes from the family fenring, another giant in the story and, just like the princess Irulan, is also a Bene Gesserit. This is one of the characters that most tends to surprise the public, as her role may be a little different from what is told in the book that inspired the film.
In the events of Dune: Part 2, she will prove herself as a spy and a catalyzing force for the political intrigue of the entire scenario, fulfilling two purposes: to alert Lady Jessica, the protagonist's mother, about an imminent attack, and obtain genetic material from Feyd-Rautha, as part of a Bene Gesserit reproduction plan.
