Hobbi is Facebook's experimental tool for documenting hobbies and personal projects

The app was created to encourage s to document their personal projects and hobbies. The tool allows you to organize your projects into “themed collections”. For example, you can create several themed collections such as photos of recipes, decoration, food, crafts and much more. That is, nothing very different from the famous 📌 Pinterest:

A spokesperson for the 📌 Pinterest: said, in an interview with the American channel social network do Facebook.

“At first glance, Hobbi appears to be a photo saver app that lacks Pinterest's discoverability, search, and recommendations. As described on the App Store, it aims to help you document and the things you do that are about the past, while Pinterest is for discovering inspiring ideas and actions for the future.”

After the mysterious “launch” of Zuckerberg’s tool yesterday (13/02), the shares of the 📌 Pinterest: dropped 4%, CNBC revealed. Soon after, there was a slight recovery. 

Although the Hobbi is being called a “social network” by the international press, the app does not contain social media components like Facebook itself, Instagram and Twitter. Basically, it was created for you to organize your hobbies and ideas. Video highlight roll is the only social field, which allows sharing on other platforms.

“Organize your photos into visual collections and see the progress you are making over time,” reads the description of the new app.

There are still no details on when the Hobbi will be officially released. For now, it is available in just four countries: Colombia, Belgium, Spain and Ukraine.

The sudden appearance of the platform does not mean that the Facebook you can launch it globally. The company lives creating tools, putting it on the air and then giving up on the project. The company itself explains that the tools designed by the NPE team undergo changes very quickly and can be closed if it is identified that they are not useful. Therefore, we will have to wait and see if Hobbi arrives in other countries or not.
