The saga of Harry Potter it is undoubtedly a modern classic that has touched the lives of thousands of people. Both the book series and the movies have impacted more than one generation and continue to build fans across the world. 4x243p
The importance of the young wizard's adventures is such a strong element in today's culture that they will be a subject of study in a course in the University of São Paulo.
Between the 14th of September and the 19th of October, the USP will offer a course called Harry Potter: Interpretive Paths. Taught by three graduate students under the coordination of one of the professors from the Department of Literary Theory and Comparative Literature, the course will be free of charge and will not be exclusive to university students.
Harry Potter: Interpretative Paths aims to “provide between Harry Potter readers, both inside and outside academia, for the discussion of the work”. Classes will use classic works of literary theory as bibliography, to explain, analyze and discuss JK Rowling's work from the perspective of key Harry Potter characters, as well as the young wizard as a novelistic hero and an individual in the making.
The constructions of female and male characters in Harry Potter will also be discussed, as well as literary criticism and the voice of the reader within the world created by the British writer.

Anyone with mais de 18 anos, you do not need to be a USP student, who has already I read all 7 books in the Harry Potter saga. People who have only read the Philosopher's Stone or watched the movies will not be accepted.
To for the free course, you must enter no Apollo system and choose from the menu the option “Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences”.
Registration starts this Monday and, as the number of places is limited, it's good to hurry to guarantee your registration in the course.
