ing the biggest battle of Game of Thrones in the third episode gc60
At 82 minutes, the longest episode of the season (and series history) saw the epic battle against the Night King and his army of white walkers. Besides, of course, Viserion, who became the ice dragon.
The episode had painful deaths, but not the ones we expected - maybe the main characters still have their days numbered, as we learned in a series that killed the considered protagonist in the first season.

The third episode is directed by Miguel Sapochnik, who also directed the Battle of the Bastards episode, which won him an Emmy, the most prestigious award on television.
The first step of the battle was when Melisandre returned to Westeros. She then ignited the swords of the Dothraki who formed the front line. Ser Jorah he commanded the men to advance but remained behind. Therefore, he was the only one to return.

And so died the Dothraki army. Unseen, just to show how much more it would take to stop the Night King's army, which in a silent blink of an eye wiped out the most feared warriors beyond the Narrow Sea.
After Patrolman Edd, the other big death that came to prominence on screen was that of lyanna mormont. And honestly, I'm suffering with her even now. But the end of the Lady of Bear Island was the most dignified she could have had: Lyanna died when she was crushed by a giant after killing him with a dagger in the eye.
She died saving the men who swore to fight for her, just 12 years old. Would she have become stronger than Arya Stark if she continued on the series. 16-year-old actress Bella Ramsey, who played the sharp-tongued northerner, said what if you're going to die in Game of Thrones, taking a giant with you "is not a bad way to die".

Theon Greyjoy sacrificed himself when trying to stop the Night King from attacking Bran, but he was killed by the white walker with his own spear. In the meantime, Ser Jorah died in Daenerys' arms after saving her queen from a horde of the dead. AND Beric Dondarrion, who has been revived so many times, died after fulfilling his purpose: to prevent Arya from being killed.
And that was important because it secured the episode's big death: that of the Night King, putting an end to the theory that he would win and kill everyone - but the theory that he revived the dead from the crypt of Winterfell was confirmed in one moment. hopeless, as children and people with no fighting skills were there.

In a few seconds of pure tension, the Night King walks towards Bran, until the moment we see something ing beside the white walkers and the king turning back to catch Arya in the air. She had sneaked up to kill the white walker, but he intercepted the young Stark with one hand on her arm and the other on her neck.
However, he let Arya's right hand free, allowing her to the dagger from one hand to the other and thus slay the Night King with dragonglass, resulting in the deaths of all the other dead- living creatures that were created by him, the original white walker.

Let's go over the list of dead from the third episode of Game of Thrones: the first to die was Ranger Edd, killed by one of the white walkers while defending Sam in the middle of battle. Then it was Theon Greyjoy's turn, who managed to redeem himself by defeating a huge horde of white walkers to protect Bran, who says, “Theon, you're a good man. Thanks".
Who also died an honorable death was Jorah Mormont. He, who started the series by being hired to spy on Daenerys and then fell in love with and fight for her, died defending his queen.

His cousin Lyanna Mormont also died a grandiose death in the third episode of Game of Thrones. Then it was Beric Dondarrion's turn. The warrior, who was resurrected several times by the red god R'hollor, died saving the Hound and Arya Stark from the white walkers. According to Melisandre, he had been resurrected all those times to fulfill his purpose there.
The last death happened at the end of the episode, when Melisandre, after fulfilling her purpose in the Battle and fighting the night that is dark and full of terrors, removes the stone that kept her youth and grows old until death.

After the Battle of Winterfell and the Long Night 5u4l2p
Celebrating the end of the battle at Winterfell, Daenerys names gendry, Robert Baratheon's bastard, as Lord of Storm's End - a way to end competition with the one who was entitled to the Throne? In any case, she herself conducted a toast in honor of the Arya Stark, the great heroine of the battle.

Daenerys is clearly annoyed by the way everyone congratulates Jon, especially the fact that he has ridden the dragon, and leaves. Meanwhile, Brienne, Jaime, Podrick and Tyrion play the game Tyrion invented. After he makes a statement about Brienne being a virgin, she leaves, causing Jaime to follow her to see if she's okay. Tormund says he is heartbroken and will drown his sorrows in a northern girl.

Then comes the reunion between Sansa and the Hound, an emotional moment in the middle of the party hall at Winterfell. “You've changed, little bird,” he said. If you had left King's Landing with me, none of this would have happened. Not Ramsay, not Littlefinger.” She then replies that this has all changed her to no longer be the scared little bird of King's Landing.
Gendry searches the castle for Arya and finds her shooting arrows in celebration. “I don't even know how to hold a fork, I just know you're beautiful and I love you”, Gendry then asks Arya to marry him. “You are going to be a great lord and any lady would be lucky to have you. But I'm not a lady. I never went. That's not me.”

Jaime follows Brienne to her room and begins to undress, making her realize that he is jealous of Tormund. The two kiss and make out – in perhaps one of the most anticipated moments of the series after several seasons of sexual tension.
Jon and Daenerys have been alone since he told her he was Aegon Targaryen. She then exposes her concerns and how she feels to see everyone treating Jon like a king, and how it gets in the way of her claim to the Iron Throne. Dany begs Jon not to tell Sansa and Arya the truth. “You are my queen, nothing will change that,” he says.

After the night of celebrations, it was time to plan the next steps to remove Cersei Lannister from power. The new phase of Game of Thrones begins. While Sansa wants the men to rest, Dany intends to go as fast as possible to King's Landing to conquer the Iron Throne.
At the Old Gods tree, Sansa and Arya pressure Jon to leave Daenerys and stay in the North. Bran says it's his choice to tell or not, and he decides to tell the sisters that it's Aegon Targaryen.

Bronn first appears in the Game of Thrones season, pointing a crossbow at Tyrion and Jaime. Now serving Cersei, he went north to kill Tyrion in exchange for Riverrun; the Lannister then offers Highgarden to stay alive and Bronn accepts the offer.
The Hound is heading to King's Landing, saying he has unfinished business - is it to kill Gregor Clegane? Arya finds him and also tells him that he has business in the South.

The entourage is about to leave Winterfell, but before that Sansa begins articulating Jon as King of the Seven Kingdoms to Tyrion. Jon says goodbye to Tormund, to whom he gives Ghost so the wolf can be happy beyond the Wall. Jon also says goodbye to Sam, saying he was the best friend he ever had.

As the Targaryen ships are arriving at Dragonstone, Tyrion tells Varys Jon's secret. He says that Jon doesn't want the Throne and that he could marry Daenerys to reign with her, but Varys argues that Jon doesn't want to be in this situation and that Dany wouldn't want to share the Throne, let alone have her authority questioned.

But then one of the most painful moments happens: Rhaegal is hit by several spears while flying over and dies, sunk in the sea while Dany is mounted on Drogon. Euron Greyjoy's fleet welcomes them, now trying to target Drogon.
Euron manages to destroy Daenerys' ships and capture Missandei. Back on Dragonstone, Dany doesn't want to give up on ridding the world of tyrants. Varys advises her to give up, but she doesn't listen. Alone with Tyrion, he says that Jon is the best fit for the Seven Kingdoms. The division becomes inevitable: Varys points out that everyone has to choose between Jon or Daenerys, as he fears Dany will become crazy like her father.
Back at Winterfell, news arrives and makes Jaime want to head south. Brienne tries to stop him, asking him to stay with her, saying he's a good man. Jaime then confesses that he threw Bran from the tower and everything he did for Cersei.

In King's Landing, Cersei tells Euron that the child she carries with Jamie is, in fact, Greyjoy's. She then goes to the walls of the Red Keep with her allies to meet with Dany, Tyrion, Varys and Gray Worm along with the Unsullied. Maester Qyburn leaves to negotiate and Tyrion goes to meet him.
After talking to Qyburn, Tyrion addresses Cersei and asks her to surrender, saying that her reign is over, but her life doesn't have to end. Cersei then tells Missandei that if she has any final words, the time is now. She yells "Dracarys!" and Cersei orders Gregor Clegane to kill her, the knight then cuts off her head.

On the same day, Daenerys loses Rhaegal, one of her dragons, and Missandei, her close friend and confidant since she went to Slaver's Bay - now called Bay of Dragons. She turns her back on Cersei… and the episode ends. Now, apparently, it's war on Game of Thrones.
