Original title: Based on a true story
Based on a True Story is a series that shows a couple — made up of the characters Ava (Kaley Cuoco) e Nathan Bartlett (Chris Messina) — who are going through a financial crisis well before the arrival of their first child. Living closely with the suspicion of a real crime, and hoping to raise some funds, they decide to jump on the podcast bandwagon about true crimes (check out our list of films on the subject), a rising theme at the time.
In the second season of the series, which premieres on April 8th on balloon play, the couple tries to maintain a routine as parents and resume their previous life, as the birth of their child approaches. In this way, Ava tries to return to acting as a real estate agent and Nathan coaching private tennis students. However, a new wave of murders in West Side Ripper forces them back into the life of criminal investigations once again. Other cast include Aaron Staton, Liana Liberato, Melissa Fumero e Tom Bateman.
The Bad Girl (Season 2) (15/04)

The Bad Girl's Mischief is a Mexican series based on the book of the same name by Mario Vargas Llosa, which tells the strange love story between Arlette (Macarena Achaga) e Richard (Juan Pablo Di Pace).
The second season of the series promises high doses of emotion, as Ricardo will look for harness, who is now married in Japan to a powerful businessman.
Sweet Deception (Season 1)

In the drama Sweet Deception, two people completely distinct in personality — the accused Lee Ro Woon (Chun Woo-Hee) and the lawyer Han Moo Young (Kim Dong-Wook) — come together to seek revenge after a false accusation is made.

I'm Still Here (2024) (06/04)
winner of Oscar 2025 in category Best Foreign Film, in addition to being nominated in the categories of Best Film and Best Actress, The In Between tells the story of the Paiva family, made up of Eunice Paiva (Fernanda Torres), Rubens Paiva (Selton Mello) and his five children. Set against the backdrop of the military dictatorship in Rio de Janeiro in the early 1970s, the film addresses the disappearance of federal deputy Rubens Paiva on a certain day, accompanied by the relentless search for answers through his wife Eunice Paiva, who now has to live a new life with his children.
The film's story is based on the biographical book written by Marcelo Rubens Paiva, son of the deputy, whose plot marked the history of Brazil.
Diddy: How a Bad Boy Is Born (2025)
Original title: Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy
Diddy: How a Bad Boy Is Born It's a documentary-style film that reveals the rapper's life Sean 'Diddy' Combs, showing his past and present through unpublished testimonies and several images of his life and artistic career.
The film also brings to light the recent accusation of Diddy to prison, which culminated in his being held in a federal prison.
Mallandro, What Went Wrong (2024)
The presenter, actor and comedian Sergio Mallandro embarks on a new adventure in this 2024 national film whose plot shows him in an attempt to return to the screens. After going through a bad phase in his life — being forced to work as an App driver, but having a hard time being recognized by the engers, who give up on the ride because they believe it is a joke —, Sergio Mallandro sees an opportunity to return to acting on TV.
However, the great opportunity to host a talk show, even on a small network, is also unfortunately accompanied by an event that makes him lose his “powers”, leaving him unable to say his famous catchphrases. Now, with this ime, he will have to reinvent himself to take, once again, his last chance to occupy a successful position in his artistic career.
The cast of Mallandro, The Wrong That Went Right includes Ana Paula Tabalipa, Andre Mattos, Guilherme Garcia, Kizi Vaz, Marianna Alexandre, Marino Rocha, Xuxa e Zico.
The Lighthouse Keepers 2 (2024)
In this continuation of the lighthouse keepers (2018), friends and coworkers Alexander (Antonio Fragoso), Lima (Mauricio Manfrini), Rocha (Charles Paraventi) e Diguinho (Nilton Bicudo) embark on a trip with their families to Bahia, courtesy of Alexandre, who had won the trip prize after being recognized in the company as the best sales manager (and his friends disagreed).
The sequence of events in this story could not be different, with many confusions, unforeseen events, but also many moments that will remain in everyone's memory. The cast of The Lighthouse 2 also includes the actors Aline Campos, Cacau Protasio, Danielle Winits, Elisa Pinheiro, Marcos Pitombo e Sulivan Bishop.
Shrek Forever After (2010)

In the original series Chico Anysio: A Man in Search of a Character, the actor and son of the comedian, Bruno Mazzeo, presents a documentary journey over five episodes that will premiere on Globoplay in April.
In them, they will try to unravel the mysteries and achievements surrounding the great success of Chico Anysio, revealing his life trajectory, which began in his childhood in Ceará and ended up becoming a star on the big screen through his interpretation of many characters that became memorable.

In the Shade of the Orange Groves (14/04)
With Ary Fontoura, Aracy Cardoso, Beatriz Lyra, Castro Gonzaga, Herval Rossano and Marcelo Picchi, In the Shade of the Orange Groves, a 1977 novel, inspired by the work of Viriato Correia and set in 1947, tells the story of the widower Pedro Lemos, who returns to the city of Laranjais after 28 years. At the time, he had left his former fiancée, Magdalene (Aracy Cardoso), who is now still in love.
The Journey (14/04)
The soap opera The trip (1994) — remake of the 1975 soap opera that aired on TV Tupi — portrays the character's life after death Alexandre (Guilherme Fontes), who, after being arrested, takes his own life in prison and, soon after, tries to harm the people he considers responsible for his trial.
Mistress of Me (28/04)
Set in the Rio de Janeiro neighborhood of São Cristóvão — with filming at the traditional Feira de São Cristóvão and on the streets of the region —, the new 7pm soap opera, owner of me premieres on April 28th on open TV, but will also be broadcast on balloon play for all subscribers of the platform.
The soap opera's plot deals with issues related to family, love, motherhood, religion, sports, among others and focuses its plot on the character Leona (Clara Moneke), a young nanny who hides past traumas, but who has a big smile, capable of charming everyone. Her life intertwines with that of other characters in the plot, such as her grandmother Yara (Cyda Moreno), your sister Stephany (Nikolly Fernandes), and other families fighting for power over a lingerie factory in Rio de Janeiro.

The 1982 miniseries Lampião and Maria Bonita tells the story of Lampião, Virgulino Ferreira da Silva, Played by Nelson xavier, in his last moments of life.

With live broadcast and open to all s of balloon play, Country Circuit brings together large Sertanejo music personalities and groups in performances throughout Brazil. The month of April will feature two performances: the first in Londrina, on the 4th, at 00:30, and the second taking place in the city of Ribeirão Preto, on the 26th, at 23:30.
Afternoon – 10 years (19/04)
the show of Thiaguinho, entitled Late afternoon, takes place on April 19th, live from Engenhão (Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium) and will be broadcast live for all Globoplay subscribers. This time, the singer will go on a tour to celebrate his 10th anniversary, including visiting 26 cities, both inside and outside our country.

My Mother With Her Father (30/04)
Sabrina Sato presents this reality show where single mothers and fathers are placed in a luxurious mansion and must interact there in a surprising experience, with the participation of their own children. Secretly acting as cupids for their parents, they will observe them, complete challenges and even interfere in some situations, influencing their romantic choices.

Broadcast on Saturdays, starting on the 26th, at 18:00 pm, the presenter Monique Alfradique commands the program Animal Crush, a game show that uses animal behavior as inspiration. The new season of I'm free — airing from Monday to Friday, always at 22:30 pm — features the protagonist Grace (Rodrigo Sant'anna) living crazy lives. This time, she becomes an influencer and will have to deal with fame and the family's reception, since she is bringing new home.

The channel sportv will bring to subscribers of Globoplay some of the most important football and volleyball championships. Check it out:
- Brazilian Championship – Series A – The Brasileirão, as it is commonly called, will continue with its schedule that began on March 29;
- Volleyball Super League (Women's and Men's) – The biggest Brazilian Volleyball competition will also be broadcast on Globoplay , live from the Ibirapuera Gymnasium;
- Women's National Football Team Friendlies – On April 5th and 8th, we will have friendlies between the Brazilian women’s soccer team and the United States.
