The Million Dollar Challenge compiles the year's best moments recorded by a GoPro, submitted by content creators. The reward? 1 million dollars divided among the winners.

who never dreamed of make money making videos on the Internet? With hundreds of thousands of y producing content for hundreds of millions of people – today it is estimated that more than 160,000 channels have more than 100 subscribers – access to videos has become increasingly diluted. Taking advantage of this wave, the camera maker GoPro created a contest to reward some lucky ones (including Brazilians!).

Last Wednesday (26), the results of the second HERO8 Black ou MAX and, as a reward, all shared the fortune.

The final product brought together recordings that show the practice of physical activities, such as wingsuit flights, skateboarding and paragliding, and some creative footage like the ascent of an illuminated escalator, electronic music concerts, drone footage and even a camera strapped to the back of a dog.

The result, along with the winners, was released in a compilation; see below.

For this year's edition, there were more than 42 thousand registrations from 104 countries, including Brazil. The content creators Daniel Dias, Andrews Santana e Bruno Morotti were the lucky Brazilians who took just over 22 thousand dollars each (R$94,301 in direct conversion). The three posted on their social media, celebrating the feat:

This is the second edition of the Million Dollar Challenge, as in 2018 GoPro chose 56 creators (which diluted the prize a little more) from the 25 entries that used the camera HERO7 Black. The result can also be seen on YouTube.

The proposal of the contest, according to the company's own website, is to capture what they call banger, Ou seja, “videos packed with unique perspectives, spectacular adventures and captivating moments from around the world”. The highlights video from previous years (until 2017) was made by GoPro's own in-house team, but for the second time in a row they put the mission in the hands of the community – which was also rewarded, of course.

Participating GoPro Cameras

The cameras of the 2019 edition, which captured 350 total hours of video, were of two models: HERO8 Black e MAX.
