A CES 2023 — Consumer Electronics Show, the world's greatest technology feat — it has barely started and is already full of news, including the next GPU for notebooks from AMD that promises to be even better than a RTX 3060 for desktops, from competitor NVIDIA. The company is making several very positive and encouraging statements about this novelty that can be very innovative in its proposal. 6p4o69

The versions RX 7600M XT and also those that are not XT will have up to 8 GB of GDDR6 memory in a 128-bit memory space, bringing for AMD's intelligent power system and availability of enhancements, and being built at 6nm. AMD kept the public on their toes when it said about the performance of these GPUs, most notably when it said that the XT model would supposedly be able to deliver greater gaming performance than even a 3060GB RTX 12 for desktops.

The company has not yet commented on the launch of the most powerful models. The last generation featured the Radeon 6800M, so expect to see a release equivalent to a 7800M or similar later this year. The launch marks the return of S-series of chips for mobile devices, combining the performance of RDNA3 with greater efficiency.

A RX7700S will consume less than 100 Watts of power, yet maintain high performance, while the RX7600S will only consume 50 Watts. If they are combined with the Us Ryze new-generation chips, these chips could enable gaming performance in lighter or thinner notebooks with more endurance in battery life. AMD even claims that there is an increase of up to 29% in performance against other similar high-end S-series chips like the 6700S in a range of games.

Some of the first gaming notebooks to have access to these new Radeon M and S series GPUs include the TUF Gaming A16 from Asus, M18 e M16 from Alienware, AG958P and APX970 from Emdoor, and also the IP3 RNA37A. All these models are already scheduled to be launched in the first half of this year.
While there are no new desktop GPU announcements from AMD, the company has emphasized how well its current graphics card, the 7900 XT, compares to NVIDIA RTX 4080 12 GB. Including suggesting that it has the ability to compete against the newly announced plaque RTX 4070 Ti, also from NVIDIA.
