The Queen's motivations are not just the power to have her son on the throne, but the belief that the princess, ill-spoken as she is, will be a threat to her children.

On the opposite side, we have rhaenira Targaryen, the heir to the throne legitimized in an act of despair and guilt on the part of the king. The woman, unlike her childhood friend, only married laenor Velrayon (John Macmillian) for not doing justice to the proposals of other lords and for muffling many things: the war in Driftmarks, the unhappiness of the richest family of Westeros and the rumors about the two.

The episode begins with the birth of the arranged couple's third child. laenor little present in the lives of the children and the wife, it appears when the newborn is in the mother's lap. The happy moment of the birth of another healthy child is not portrayed like this. Tired, bleeding and unhappy, the Princess is summoned to bring her son to the Queen.

Walking together, the couple takes Joffrey and formally introduces it. It is in this delicate but incredible scene that the screenwriters tell the audience the heiress's most important secret: her children, all three, are bastards of Harwin Strong (Ryan Corr). Anyone who thinks it's a guarded secret or subliminal in the scene is wrong, no, Alicent confirms in every word by recommending that the Lord Velaryon keep trying until a child like him comes along.

It is clear that marriage and the ing of the years have only pushed the girls who once shared so many secrets further and further apart. Finally, the threat of royalty turns against Harwin Strong and hand of the king. Knowing that the commander is the real father of the two Targaryen dark-haired, taunts the knight by claiming he's only in the training yard because his kids are there.

After this confusion, the hand of the king, always favorable to the princess, leaves power and returns to harrenhal, your castle. And as we have already commented, in this episode even the consequences of the plans have already appeared: Larys proved to be one of the most dangerous characters in the game of thrones.

Compared to another character, just as dangerous, Larys serves too much to kill the longing for Littlefinger, Game of Thornes. The promise is that the Lord called “The Clubfoot” will become increasingly dangerous and important, until the start of the Dance of Dragons.

the maturation of Alicent will also come through the Lord, who with each episode will further test the limits of his evil and the thirst for power of both. Counting on two deaths and some confusion, the only Strong survivor has the potential of a true player.

The first, in which she was introduced to King Viserys at age 11, served to remind the public that age-gap marriage is common in the universe created by George RR Martin. The second, more subdued, was at the wedding of rhaenira, talking to Daemon.

We don't know how the only child of the Velaryon ends up marrying the renegade prince, nor how their marriage took place. what we know is that laena she has two daughters and is pregnant with a third. Riding the oldest dragon in the family Targaryen, vhagar, the woman is trapped in will repent.

When The Dragon House premiered, one of my fears was the new series living off references to Game of Thrones. What would be the fun of a new story, already told in books, to gain a careful production to be reduced to references? None.

By the middle of the season, that feeling had been suppressed by another: the feeling of satisfaction. The Dragon House had a beginning linked with its predecessor to captivate the public, but it created its own legs. Its construction and, until then, development, is much better and reminds us of the golden age of HBO.

As much as in this episode the discussion was about the quality of the replacement of the actors, the audience received material with so much potential and so well done that it is a crime to criticize episode 6 or any of the new “old” actors. Despite an introduction to the new fray, leaving some aside, The House of the Dragon managed to carve out its own space.

Display as rhaenira is, at the same time, a good mother and a conscientious future queen, but still an adulteress is showing the gray side of the creator's characters. the same happens with Alicent, who has his thirst for power, but also wants the protection of his children.

Another strong point of the new phase is accompanying the children. The princess's children, strong and future warriors, still have dragons, they are the opposite of the queen's children. Aegon II already proves to be spoiled and asshole, while aemond is seen with pity. helaena has already been introduced to the public as well, the queen's misfit and odd daughter. It will be these children, young people, the future of the rebellion and for those the Queen and Princess will fight for.

Daemon, loved by some, hated by many, also had its construction well executed. From inconsequential prince to loyal by rhaenira, the character transitioned between the available facets and was well explored. viserys has already remained very faithful to what is described in the books: an impartial king, always aiming for everything but doing nothing.

The next episode will be important to continue this special path that The Dragon House delivered us. The end is near and the season still has some important events, such as the development of aemond as a family villain and the beginning of a direct confrontation between the two sides. However, for the first time, I am confident that the HBO will deliver in a recent work everything that was promised at the beginning.
