This is a simple tutorial, but it is already possible to update your Motorola Xom 3G and his Motorola Xoom WIFI for 4.0.3 version of the system Android.
After updating your Xoom, you won't believe how you managed to go so long without ICS on your device, the difference is SCREAMING, whether in of performance, speed or facilities.
Below is the tutorial:
NOTICE: WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING! EVERYTHING THAT IS DONE IS AT THE OWN RISK OF THOSE WHO TRY THE UPDATE. IT CAN GO WRONG, YOU MAY BE WITHOUT THE APPLIANCE (WILL HAVE TO SEND IT FOR MAINTENANCE), ETC. THAT IS, FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
On my Motorola XOOM 3G Brazilian I managed to install ICS with EVERYTHING working, without any problem, just run the update and that's all ok, but you'll lose everything, that is, make a backup.
Who wants to test the rom is the Team EOS ICS 1.0.0. To use it, just and place it in a folder on your XOOM:
- ROM for Wifi Xoom (MZ604)
- ROM for XOOM GSM 3G (MZ601 or MZ605)
- Google Apps (Gmail / Gtalk / Maps and etc.. google apps)
First, backup to NANODROID! That means you have ROOT it's the Bootloader unlocked, in addition to having the clockworkmod installed. To learn how to carry out these procedures, see our upgrade tutorial to previous version of XOOM.
Now just wipe the system (wipe data & factory reset) and apply the file corresponding to your XOOM i.e. either the WIFI OR the 3G GSM, never install both, in Recovery mode (Recovery Mode), then apply Google apps. Once you have the Rom and Google Apps installed, restart xoom, and you will be a happy ICS .
