Launched in Brazil on February 01, 2023, this website is an initiative of Anatel to help Brazilian consumers know who is the company that handles a call that may have been missed or is being a problem, since they are calling you so many times.

It can be accessed for free by computers and smartphones and has a very simplified use. The concept is quite simple: no matter how hard companies try to hide it, every phone has an identifiable title.

And even if the call is being made by a system that simulates a smartphone line, it is still possible to identify phones so that you can them directly and resolve the case that may be causing problems. Usage is simple and takes less than five minutes.

Using the new site is quite simple and you only need to have your phone in hand to know which company called you. The first step consists of access the website of Which Company Called Me via your computer or smartphone. Then, with the phone number in hand, enter the number in the field in the center of the screen.

Now, just your identity through the capctha, below the field where you entered the phone number. After clicking on Consult, the ownership identification will be displayed shortly afterwards. Simple and easy!

At first, the tool can only identify operator numbers Algar, Claro, Hi, Sercomtel, TIM e Living. Another important point is that, at least for now, only numbers linked to a CNPJ can be identified. (https://www.disabilityhelpcenter.org/) When trying to find out who owns a number connected to a F, identification will not be carried out.
Soon, more news should be implemented in the tool istered by ABR Telecom, the same company that takes care of the process of porting a number from one company to another, when requested by customers.

There are many features and applications that can already identify calls, but as you know, companies try to "make up" the name of telephone lines so that people answer the call.
To try to avoid this, Anatel is studying to implement the protocol STIR/SHAKEN in Brazil. Launched in the US in November 2021, the novelty includes a series of rules that help with identification and other actions so that s can have a more peaceful day to day.

Already used in foreign countries, the STIR/SHAKEN manages to identify you at the same time you receive the call and also provides greater security, as it verifies the authenticity of the company and prevents the telephone spoofing technique, which allows the real number to be changed so that a person can answer the call, from being put into practice.
It is important to that, at least for now, this feature is only being studied in Brazil, but the tool Which Company Called Me it can be a real pain in the ass to know which company is taking your time when making multiple calls in the same day.
