Security in the technology area is a subject that is raised daily, especially now that the COVID-19 pandemic has forced most professionals to surrender to the telework or home office model. A recent cybersecurity report from HP shows that almost all respondents (91%) are under some pressure in relation to compromising safety during working hours. Check the data collected. 1d3l28

HP's Cybersecurity Report was conducted by Rebellions & Rejections, partner team of HP Wolf Security, showing high tension between employees who work remotely and IT . This alert worked primarily to show security leaders that the future of work must be protected.
The fact that workers are actively circumventing security should be of concern to any CISO (chief information security officer) – as this is how breaches can arise. If security is too heavy and overwhelms people, they will find a way to break through. Instead, security should fit as closely as possible into existing standards and workflows, with technologies that are unobtrusive, security-native, and -intuitive. Ultimately, we need to make working with security as easy as working without security, and we can do that by building security into systems from scratch.
Ian Pratt, Global Head of Security for Personal Systems at HP Inc.
The results presented show that IT teams are being forced to compromise security so that work-related operations are continued, even though we are at a time when there are increasing threats in this regard. These same IT teams try to negotiate alternatives that update or increase security measures in relation to these remote workers, but unfortunately they are often rejected. Focus for the future, where it is seen that young people, among 18 and 24 years old, who are emerging in the area and getting frustrated about how security is interfering with deadlines.

This research report from HP Wolf Security, combined with a global online poll, from the YouGov, with 8443 people who worked in offices and needed to move to the home office, during this period, they were also placed with another 1100 decision makers in the IT area and the following results were collected:
- More than 75% of IT teams confirmed that security is compromised for the sake of continuity of work that must be delivered during the pandemic, while another 91% ended up feeling pressured to compromise security to continue with the work;
- 48% of office workers, between the ages of 18 to 24 years old, faced security tools that were actually offered as an obstacle. In this way, 31% of these tried to circumvent corporate security policies to be able to finalize and deliver the due demand;
- Almost half of the interviewees said that security measures, which are apparently strict, lead to a longer delay in completing their work. When this same scenario is applied to young people between 18 and 24 years of age, we see an increase from half to 64% of adherents;
- Of the respondents who are between 18 and 24 years old, 54% of them are more focused on meeting the deadlines that are established, than ending up exposing the company in some data breach. Another 39% of this same group are not so sure about what these policies determine or were not even aware of them, as well as a high indifference in this sense with the younger ones;
- And above, the survey also points out that more than 80% of IT teams say that the growing adherence to the home office has resulted in a "time bomb" effect, regarding the violation of the companies where they work.
CISOs are dealing with increasing volume, speed and severity of attacks. “Their teams are having to work around the clock to keep the company safe while facilitating massive digital transformation with little visibility. Cybersecurity teams should no longer be saddled with the burden of protecting the business solely on their shoulders; cybersecurity is an overarching area that everyone needs to get involved with
Joanna Burkey, Executive Director of Information Security (CISO) at HP Inc.
