Accessing the option to export WhatsApp conversations is very easy. The first step, of course, is to update the Telegram version. To do this, on your cell phone, access the App Store, search for Telegram and click “Update”. After that, follow the path:
- Open WhatsApp and click on the conversation with a or group you want to export
- At the top of the screen, click on the /group name to access the options
- Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “Export conversation”
- When clicking on the function, two other options will open, asking if you want to link the media, which are the photos and videos. If you want, just click on “Attach media”. In this case, the application must generate a much larger file, which may take time to create, depending on the amount of content you have stored in that conversation.
- After the app loads the conversation, a tab will open asking you to indicate where to send the file. Then, select Telegram and, later, already on the platform, select the to be linked.
- Confirm the operation by clicking on “Import” and then on “Done”.
Following these steps, the selected chats will be migrated between platforms. On Telegram, all messages in the archive will have the information “Imported [date and time]” below the text, but will have the date and time they were originally exchanged, still on WhatsApp.
For groups, if you export the content of one that has not yet been created, after the operation you must add the same s, which will be linked to the messages exchanged.

Despite the function of exporting conversations from WhatsApp, which is not present in the update information, Telegram has made the other changes visible to the entire public.
