In September 2022, Intel released the new 5th Generation i7, i9 and i13 processors, called Raptor Lake, chipsets of very high performance that promise to be the most powerful on the market. The brand sent two models to test, the i5 and i9, come check it out! 725t2n
Specifications 6d2s3u
Raptor Lake “K” line comes with stand overclock and, according to the manufacturer, line devices have the ability to obtain gains of 15% in single-threaded and up to 41% in multithreaded compared to previous generations, allowing a more powerful execution order in the processing cores of the chipsets of the 13th generation. In practice, this makes them faster to transmit data simultaneously or in isolation.

With that, Intel promises to move ahead of its current direct competitor, AMD. This new lineup features a 600MHz upgrade over the previous generation, featuring twice the efficiency of cores across all 13th generation processors.
Cores and performance n3y4k
The Intel Core i5-13600K processor offers 14 performance cores and 20 threads, while the Core i9-13900K has a total of 24 cores and 32 threads.
integrated video 2s4t10
The new line of Intel processors also introduces the generation that includes integrated video, with high speed and that promises to improve the performance in the system.
setup used 21i3b
For this reviews, I used the motherboard Mancer H610M-DA, the other settings you can find below.
Processors | Intel Core i5 13600K and Intel Core i9 13900K |
Motherboard | Mancer H610M-DA |
GPU | NVIDIA RTX 2070 |
Pig iron | Cougar BMX 700 |

Memory | SSD 16GB DDR4 |
It is important to that Intel processors do not come with cooler and not all models are suitable for these chipsets, therefore, pay attention to this when buying and ensure that your U is suitable for the chosen processor.
Benchmark results 4lj1w
using the platform Mark to check Intel's score against other manufacturers, we see right away that the 13th generation easily beats its competitors.

In the comparison tests of the Core i9 13900K with its direct competitor, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, we see that both are practically equal, as shown in the table below.

Already in the classification single thread, the Core i9 stands out — barely, yes, but still winning.

The situation changes when it comes to the Core i5 13600K and its competitor AMD 5 7600X: Intel comes out ahead with almost 10 thousand points of advantage, a wide difference that demonstrates how much the company has invested in technology.

Already in the classification single thread, both brands are found side by side.

Below the scores of colors i5 and i9 in the test 3dMark focusing on graphics performance of gaming PCs; this test uses DirectX 12 with 4K quality and requires a GPU with at least 4 GB of dedicated memory to run.

The Core i5 13600K earned a score of 7.481 with NVIDIA's RTX 2070 GPU.

The Core i9 13900K scored 12.237 points with the same graphics card.

They benchmarking, also from 3DMark, focuses solely on processor performance, testing the threads separately, which allows a more detailed result. Below, respectively, the results of the i5 and i9.

The results, adding all the threads of each processor together, add up to 10.491 points for the i5 13600K and 16.870 points for the Core i9 13900K.
gaming tests 43i4z
It was two weeks of continuous use for fun, work and day-to-day tasks and I was able to explore using it in games in my spare time. I already advance that I didn't feel any performance problems or choking on the part of the computer, which was already expected; the same goes for noise and heating, as smooth as it gets.
GTA V 43849
Frantic Rockstar game that tends to pull a lot of U performance in conjunction with great graphics quality. Needless to say, I spent hours exploring the map of Los Santos and Blaine County

I took a risk in the game's story and online mode and felt very little change in U temperature in moments of more intense gameplay, there were no crashes either. There was noise, however, it didn't disturb.
Cyberpunk 2077 4343
Here, some stutters have already appeared in the tests carried out with both Us, but nothing that considerably interfered with the gameplay. There was little heating and the noise remained low.

Considerations 6x6530
Despite the good experience I've had, I think it's important to point out that Intel has a major competitor in the market, AMD, and that despite being bringing innovation with this new generation of processors with integrated GPU, the manufacturer still can't displace its neighbor, especially with regard to the gaming market.
In most market comparisons and tests there is little difference between the two brands and in none of them does the 13th generation Raptor Lake line actually manage to open a good advantage, at most, to match.
My experience, however, was good and I believe that Intel is on the right path to occupy the top of the list of manufacturers soon, and maybe not for so long. At the same time, I feel that AMD is always at the forefront when it comes to innovation, so perhaps Intel is underestimating its rival too much.
