High number of COVID-19 cases is a point of attention 2z2c24
Just over two months after the use of a mask ceased to be mandatory on buses, trains and subways in SP — its use was released on September 9 — individual protection against the coronavirus is once again part of the daily lives of citizens who depend on buses, trains and subways in the city of São Paulo. The announcement was made today (24), following the technical analysis of the Management Council of the State Secretariat for Science, Research and Development in Health, which sees the increase in COVID-19 cases as a warning about the high circulation of the virus.

The decision comes just two days after the Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) determine the mandatory masks in airports and planes, which begins to take effect tomorrow (25) throughout the national territory. It is worth ing that the high concentration of people inside means of transport increases the risk of transmission of respiratory diseases, such as COVID-19.
Prefecture distributes masks on public transport 5ff2l
A City Hall of São Paulo started last Monday, the 21st, a mask distribution campaign at the city's 32 bus terminals. The action has already distributed more than 350 masks to s of public transport in the capital, and takes place every day between 7 am and 10 am, extending until next week.

The City Hall also provided vaccination posts against COVID-19 for people over 3 years of age in six bus terminals: Santo Amaro, Vila Nova Cachoeirinha, Sacomã, Parque Dom Pedro, Itaquera and Pinheiros.
In a note, the state government signals that the measure should be extended to more cities:
The government recommends that the measure be adopted by all municipalities in the State and reiterates that it is essential that the population has the complete vaccination cycle to ensure greater protection against the coronavirus and reinforces that the only way to mitigate the effects of the virus is to guarantee the immunization with doses that are available at all health posts in the state.
