Stop the machines. The official trailer for the new series from Netflix in partnership with Marvel "The Defenders" has just been released. The new production will unite Danny Rand, the Iron fist (Finn Jones) with Matt Murdock, the Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter).
During eight episodes, the miniseries will tell the story of how the four new york heroes banded together to fight a common enemy: the mysterious group known as The hand.
The 90-second trailer shows Sigourney Weaver as the new villain alexandra, who tells the group, “The more connections you have, the easier it will be to break them.”
While each of the four characters have their own inner monsters, they will need to band together against this new threat to New York City.

The trailer quickly shows how the Defenders gathered. In Jessica Jones' case, she is being questioned by the NYPD's Misty Knight for stealing evidence from a crime scene, when Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, enters the room as her attorney.
Between Luke Cage and Iron Fist, the meeting is more heated. In between harmless punches at Cage, Danny Rand states "I am the Immortal Iron Fist", which Luke doesn't seem to mind.
