A IFA 2024 is in full swing and in addition to new products for notebooks, smartphones and other household items, we also had news about the first wireless appliances that use KI technology, a new standard that will be present in several devices launched in the second half of 2024 and early 2025. Understanding Ki (Kitchen Induction) technology 126n3c

This standard was first presented in the CES 2023 and, in practice, through a wireless sensor, up to 2.200 watts of energy will be sent to household appliances with a sensor, as shown below:

The idea is to launch electric rice cookers, toasters, blenders, coffee makers and fryers to see how this works in practice and, after some time, scale the standard so that more and more people have access to the technology.

In addition to eliminating wires, WPC (Wireless Power Consortium), who takes care of the KI technology standard, explains that it will be possible to place a KI sensor on dual-function induction cooktops or as stand-alone transmitters and, later, as hidden transmitters mounted under countertops, kitchen islands or even tables.

Another positive point is that energy will only be sent when a KI sensor detects an appliance with KI compatibility. KI loading, which prevents your hands from burning when they through the sensor.

Despite presenting its first wireless appliances, the transition from Midea na IFA 2024 It was very simple: we only know that the line Celestial Flex will be composed of a blender, a steamer and a kettle. Midea is one of the most active WPC companies and participated in the development of this standard and it makes sense that it would be one of the first companies to put models like these on the market.

In addition to these three new wireless appliances, we also learned the first information about the Midea One Oven, an oven that can be built into the wall and has been defined as versatile, as it serves as a microwave, steamer and air fryer. Look:
