This is the new Moto G5S Plus

A Motorola announced the Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus at the end of August, next to new Moto Z2 Force. Less than six months after bringing the Moto G5 to the market, a beautiful revolution compared to the G4. The company decided to launch a more powerful “S” line and that, in the Plus version, has a great differential: the dual camera. 421e6l

Review: Moto G5s Plus, the Intermediate Dual Camera

O Moto G5S Plus follows the same design as the Moto G5, only more refined. In 2017, it seems that Motorola decided to standardize the lines and now most of your smartphones look like the Moto Z.

Finished in aluminum, the G5S Plus has considerable edges on the front, something that, when compared with another intermediate smartphone, the LG Q6, in this case, makes your look less modern than it could be.

It seems that for next year Motorola will have to redesign its lines and bet on “infinite display” model to keep hitting the competition head-on.

In general, the Moto G5S Plus It's very beautiful, even more in color blue topaz that showmetech been using. On the front we have a fingerprint sensor which is not a button, but can be used as a trackpad, a “moto” written at the top of the screen, the audio output for calls, the camera, the light sensor and the flash.

At the edges, the right side concentrates the power and volume buttons, while on the left side there is the chip port and extra storage via microSD.

On the back, we have the antenna lines, an embossed “M” and the spare camera that is dual, plus a small microphone to help capture the audio. At the bottom, we have a microUSB port and the audio output.

And yes, the device has a 3,5mm inlet for headset.

In short, fans of the brand will find in Moto G5S Plus a familiar and beautiful smartphone, but with a look that is getting more and more dated.

Review: Moto G5s Plus, the Intermediate Dual Camera

O Moto G5S Plus rely on Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB, with the possibility of expansion to up to 128GB with microSD card. This makes the device one of the best mid-range smartphones on the market, which, in daily use, translates into good speed and no crashes in basic activities.

Thanks to the Qualcomm chip, Motorola is able to bring unlocking smartphone with finger e fast recharge, an important bonus in today's cell phones.

It is worth noting that when browsing the internet, opening social network apps, sending messages on WhatsApp or even playing a game, with the G5S Plus has no bad weather.

From Candy Crush to Pokémon GO, Zombie Tsunami or Duet, the device does not suffer from any choking, which for any consumer who wants a smartphone to take with them for a long time, will have at Moto G5S Plus a friend, that's because the 3GB of RAM help the device process more information at the same time.

Compared to the Moto G5 Plus, in fact, the extra 1GB of RAM, even with the same processor, turns the G5S Plus into another device.

Software 1j2c25

Review: Moto G5s Plus, the Intermediate Dual Camera

None of this, of course, would be possible without a good ally: or Android 7.1.1. Motorola boasts of using “pure” Android, which in a way helps to optimize space and not make the cell phone run the same thing twice.

In other words, while some manufacturers are betting on their own solutions for photo gallery, music player, among others, Moto prefers to go with the creator of the software, Google, and make the company's own solutions available.

This translates into lighter, faster software and a smartphone that doesn't usually choke when opening native apps.

Another positive point of using “pure” Android, or something very close to it, is that Motorola will be able to launch system updates with more speed, like the long-awaited Android Oreo. Meanwhile, other manufacturers need extra time to customize the entire system.

All this, for those who are already used to an Android smartphone, but from another company, also means a nice surprise to discover fewer pre-installed applications

Moto G5S Plus Depth Mode

here is another big differential of the Moto G5S Plus. While 3GB of RAM is very welcome for processing tasks on the phone, this is where the chip is most needed. Motorola's novelty was the debut of a dual camera on a mid-range smartphone.

With Dual 13MP lenses and dual flash, Moto's intention is to bring a “Portrait Mode” to a smartphone that doesn't necessarily cost R$ 4.000,00. And, to be honest, the experience with the new Moto G5S Plus pleased. With the camera it is possible to blur the background, leave the main object in B&W and the background in color (or the opposite) and even intelligently crop a part of the photo to place it in another scenario.

Moto G5S Plus Depth Mode

While the last two functions are more of an extra than a necessity, taking pictures with a blurred background seems to be the new wave of the moment. In addition to being able to activate this depth mode through the camera app, you can also change how blurry the background should be when editing the photo.

During my tests, thesome pictures turned out really good, while others had some important details blurred, such as the outline of the head, earrings or clothing corners. To take a photo with a blurred background, you need a controlled environment, good light and that the object is well still.

Once you get all that right, the result is pretty cool, however, if your intention is to take that professional photo of your little kid (or dog) it's best to wait for them to sleep.

Another nice thing is when record videos in HD with the smartphone. It doesn't blur the video if you're moving around and the recording is very smooth. I was impressed.

Photo with the main camera

The selfie camera, from 5 SM, seems to be the same as the Moto G5 Plus. It's certainly not a bad camera, the photo opening angle is good, which allows you to capture an image with more details than just your face, but the pixel density isn't very nice, which in any environment that isn't have a direct light on the object, it will make the image more pixelated.

O Front flash helps for a little better definition, but it's just a little. The highlight of Moto G5S Plus It's the rear camera.

Battery 554u5p

Review: Moto G5s Plus, the Intermediate Dual Camera

The G5S Plus has a 3.000 mAh battery. This translates into a full day off the wall, or if you're a smartphone-savvy person, you can take your phone with you. Moto G5S Plus up to two days without seeing the charger wire.

The battery is the same as many high-end smartphones on the market, which is good, as there is nothing worse than having to stop in the middle of the day to charge your phone.

Another highlight is the fast loading which, with just 15 minutes, gives you good hours of use, with just over an hour needed to have a full charge.

At this point, the fact that we still have a microUSB port is disappointing, as the trend is for manufacturers to migrate faster and faster to USB-C.

Review: Moto G5s Plus, the Intermediate Dual Camera

As mentioned during the text, the Moto G5S Plus is an excellent smartphone. It has good battery, good speed, big screen, fingerprint sensor, dual camera and even a bonus: digital TV.

The device comes with a small adapter, in the style of the headphone adapters of the iPhone 7, so you can have access to TV anywhere: whether on the bus, in line at the bank or in the middle of the street. For those who want to watch open television without having to use a station's app, this function becomes essential.

O Moto G5S Plus has a suggested price of R$ 1.499, but the Magazine Luiza sell the device by R $ 1,274.15, a price for those looking for a smartphone with an excellent cost-benefit and that is technological.
