O Motorola One Vision is the second device from Motorola with the seal Android One. If the first, the Motorola One, launched at the end of 2018, did not bring many features as a differential against competitors, the One Vision does not spare features and brings good news. u481a

O Shaping the Future in the name has to do with two points: cinema screen and powerful camera, which are the main focuses of the new release. We received the device for testing and the full review you can see below:

The second generation of Motorola's One line features a screen with a new aspect ratio and a 48 MP camera

The first thing you notice right away when you pick up the Motorola One Vision its format is much narrower than all smartphones available in Brazil. Measuring about 16 x 7 cm, it is quite long, which is strange at first. But the strangeness ends soon when you get used to it and realize that the new format only brings advantages, as it is better for viewing content. O One Vision it is also easy to handle with one hand and, even though it is taller than most cell phones, it is very light, thinking only 180g.

Another thing different about the design is the camera at the top of the screen, in the style that the Samsung introduced with the Galaxy S10. While the current trend is the notch, in the form of a black bar in some or a drop, as in the Moto G7 Plus, or non-notch (when the smartphone takes advantage of the entire front for the display), here the camera is in a black circle. which is mostly covered by the black background of the icon bar, thickened by the Motorola to disguise the camera hole.

Even so, it can hide interface details in some applications created by designers who did not foresee the arrival of a long smartphone with an eye in the corner. The detail that bothers here are the edges of the notch, which are much larger and less smooth compared to the ones present in the line. Galaxy S10, for example.

The back finish is glass and rounded on the edges, with a great and grip on the device. Both colors are very pretty and the bronze version is very dark with brownish touches. A discreet transparent plastic case comes with the device for the most inattentive – and also to minimize the bulge of the cameras on the back. The fingerprint sensor is on the back, in the circle with the “M” for Motorola, easy to access with the bookmark.

Obviously, the long format of the device is perfect for watching movies. Or rather, it would be if more applications were prepared for it. THE Netflix, for example, 'crops' the image and makes the experience a lot less interesting than usual, with bars at the top and bottom. already in YouTube, this problem does not occur. The only thing to complain about is the camera hole in the corner puncturing your film.

But it's not just videos that benefit from the stretched format. Websites and social networks are presented with many more vertical pixels, making navigation easier. The screen is 6,3 inches IPS LCD and features good brightness and contrast. It doesn't compare to an AMOLED screen, but this one is still reserved for high-end models due to its high cost.

The sound of the device is Dolby Atmos and brings configuration options for cinema, music and intelligent audio. It comes with a pair of very good in-ear headphones and the single speaker has good power, but the position at the bottom can get in the way and muffle when playing games or watching videos.

O One Vision It features a 48 MP rear camera that delivers 12 MP photos. “But what do you mean?” you may be asking yourself. It has a filter that combines four pixels into one, a technology known as pixel-binding. Named QuadPixel, it results in photos with more light, detail and less noise, especially in low light environments. It is not exclusive to Motorola, the same scheme is used in devices of the Xiaomi and other Chinese manufacturers.

The result is photos with a very good level of detail and vibrant colors, but the post-processing can be a little aggressive. As HDR is turned on by default, the photos come out with high contrast. The second camera lens is only for blurring the background of the photo in Portrait mode.

Some One Vision camera options

The front camera has a massive 25 MP and has a Beauty Mode that can be left on automatic to give that smoothed face. This is a post-processing effect, so don't expect a natural beautification (your face looks like a barbie).

The camera app brings subtle changes to the interface. The portrait mode has icons that allow you to easily adjust the degree of blurring of the background of the photo and the manual mode is very intuitive and easy to use to adjust the shutter speed, ISO, temperature and focus. A curious option is the smart composition, which flattens and crops your photo according to the rule of thirds. Unfortunately, it didn't work when I tried to use it.

the great trick of One Vision is the way Night Vision. With a slightly higher exposure (can't shake the camera for about 2 seconds) it can take impressive photos in low light situations, often showing details that even your eyes can't see. Obviously, there is a bit of noise in the most extreme cases, but people who enjoy shooting concerts will be very satisfied with this function. Again, some images are over-sharpened, but the result is better than a dark photo.

The front camera has a number of features to enhance selfies, including a portrait mode that blurs the background even without the help of a second camera, with good results most of the time. Lighting effects digitally simulate sunlight, cool, saturate colors or simply make the background all black. O One Mink it also records 4K video at 30fps and allows slow motion in 1080p mode.

inside this Motorola beats a heart of Samsung, more specifically eight cores on the chip Exynos 9609 with 4GB of RAM. The choice probably stems from the fact that it has a neural network mechanism, which serves as an engine for the device's camera App tricks, such as the ability to take selfies with a blurred background. The device comes with 128GB of internal storage, enough for many days of WhatsApp audio chat and photos with the 48 MP camera. It will take time before you need to resort to the MicroSD card, but if you need to, you can expand the memory up to 1TB.

The GPU is a three-core Mali-G72 MP3 and is capable of running games like PUGB Mobile in high resolution, which is more than any mid-range model can do. If you like a game, you can go from One Vision , you’ll be fine — no need to worry.

For those who like numbers and benchmark tests, the Motorola One Vision scored 5394 points in the Geekbench 4 multicore test and 1856 points in the 3DMark Slingshot, which tests the graphics capability of the device. This puts you a few points above the Moto G7 in relation to general processing and well above in graphics processing (4830 in GBench and 947 in 3DMark). Just to compare, the Moto Z2 Force, the company's top of the line, scored 6493 on Geekbench and 4862 on 3DMark).

Despite not being proof of dives and unforeseen events in the pool, the One Vision It has IP52 water resistance. That is, you can have a little rain and you won't lose your cell phone – but avoid it as much as possible, please.

Android One, simple and clean, without different interfaces, useless applications or small stores from the manufacturer that you can't delete. It's the best Android experience you can get this side of a Google Pixel. There is only one app with the Motorola logo when you take your One Vision out of the box, which explains how to use Moto Actions and configure some preferences. Moto Actions are simple and efficient: shake your cell phone and it turns on the flashlight; flick your wrist to trigger the camera.

Battery 554u5p

With a 3500 mAh battery and a 15W TurboPower charger, it's hardly One Vision will let you down in the middle of the day. In our tests, it never called for help, always having some charge when plugged in at night. comparing with the Moto G7 Plus, the battery is bigger and the charger less powerful (3000 mAh and 27W), but on a day-to-day basis, its performance is worse, probably due to the more powerful processor and the bigger screen.

Conclusion 60664y

O Motorola One Vision stands out from the other mid-range options for its unusual format and its smarter and more versatile camera than the market average. The way Night Vision is very useful and the possibilities of manual adjustments will delight even professional photographers. If you don't have the OCD to be bothered by the black notch in the corner of the screen while watching your movie, you won't have anything to complain about.
