At the invitation of the company, we analyzed the tablet Motorola XOOM 2. The result, as well as the comparison with the company's first tablet version (the Motorola XOOM original), you can see it below:

Layout:

Definitely prettier than its predecessor, the Motorola XOOM 2 has beveled corners and finished splash guard, making the tablet splash proof. Its design is similar to another model launched by the company: the small Motorola XOOM original.

One downside here is Motorola's insistence on keeping the turn on and turn off (Power) on the back of the device. Not practical.

Screen:

The tablet screen has 10,1 inches, with resolution 1280 x 800. The well-known scratch resistance is due to the glass Corning Gorilla Glass, ensuring that the screen will stand up to the most sloppy. THE XOM 2 record and play videos in Full HD, with sound surround Indeed 3D virtual. With these features, it was very pleasant to watch movies and listen to music with the tablet.

Speed and Storage:

O Motorola XOOM 2 carry a processor dual-core de 1,2 GHz, 1 GB de RAM and internal storage of 32 GB. Added for memory cards (MicroSD) makes its capacity to reach up to 64 GB. Personally, I highly appreciate the fact that this is a tablet with expandable memory. After all, on trips and events, I usually transfer photos from my digital camera directly to the tablet, without the need to have a computer nearby (practical, isn't it?).

Connectivity and internet:

O XOM 2 allows access to networks 3G, WiFi (802.11 a,b,g,n), in addition to ing devices Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR e USB 2.0. In addition, it includes the application MotoCast, which allows streaming videos, music and ing documents directly from a PC ou Mac to your tablet without any media tools, apps or cables required. Browsing websites on the internet is ed for the Adobe® Flash® Player 10.

You can also connect it to a TV ou Home Theater through the exit HDMI. Another interesting difference is the infrared signal emitter present on the tablet, which allows it to function as a universal remote control.

Android system:

O Motorola XOOM 2 load the version Android 3.2 (Honeycomb). At this point, if you like to be always up to date with the latest version of the system Android, we recommend caution. After all, the Motorola is known for not caring much about updates from its devices. Anyway, there are always independent developers trying to fill this gap by creating ROMs customized. To install them, look for the tutorials that we indicate here on showmetech.

Battery:

Unlike smartphones, battery life is not usually an issue on tablets. It is no different with the XOM 2, which can handle over ten hours of video playback. For other activities like surfing the internet and checking emails, he stays away from the power outlet for days, quietly (more than 15 days in Standby).

Availability:

O Motorola XOOM 2 is already found in Brazilian lands since the 16th, for R $ 1.899, in stores like Submarino.

Conclusion:

O Motorola XOOM 2 is undoubtedly an excellent tablet, and can be considered as one of the best models Android current. The company fails to upgrade it from the factory to the 4.0 version (Ice Cream Sandwich) of the system. Still, other features such as the sensor infra red, HDMI output and protections against scratches and water make it very interesting.

If you own the model Motorola XOOM old, maybe not worth the change. After all, it's not cheap. If compared with the New iPad (iPad 3) is also a tough match, as the price difference isn't that far (and, of course, the choice between iOS e Android is often more personal than logical).

But for those looking for a tablet AndroidAnyway, it's a good recommendation!
