
Na Mobile World Congress 2017, the Brazil signed an agreement to collaborate with the development of 5G technology with the European Union. The agreement was formally announced in MWC by the former mayor of São Paulo and Minister of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications Gilberto Kassab with the European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Günther H. Oettinger.

Present in the agreement between Brazil and the European Union, Felipe Almeida, co-founder and CEO of Zup Innovation believes that this signed treaty will help the country to export its technologies.
“Usually we import technology from abroad and implement it in Brazil. This agreement can help to put Brazil in a new technological era, where more companies can create innovations and export them to the world.”
With this news, it is likely that unlike the 4G connection, the country manages to establish the parameters for the 5G faster and following the market so that at most in 2019 Brazilians can already experience the internet in a totally different way.
Of course, this depends on several things, such as investment in technology here, strength from mobile operators and pressure from the Brazilian government.
