A Netflix, world's leading Internet TV service, confirmed that he will make a new original series about corruption in Brazil, inspired by the Operation Lava Jet, from the Federal Police.
The series that will begin to be filmed later this year, will have the direction of José Padilha (Elite Squad, Narcos and Robocop) and will be written by Elena Soares (Xingu, Children of Carnival e Sand House).
This will be the second series entirely produced in Brazil, after sci-fi thriller post-apocalyptic 3%, which will be released by the end of 2016.
According to Padilha, “This project will narrate the police operation itself and show details about the biggest corruption scheme ever seen in Brazil. It was critical that the series be produced impartially, and Netflix is certainly the best partner to make that happen.”.
