The country's idea is to offer electric and hybrid planes so as not to depend so much on gasoline and reduce the emission of gases responsible for the greenhouse effect.

Gasoline has become a problem around the world, even more so because it is a scarce and increasingly expensive product. For this and other reasons, the Norway will update all aircraft that fly domestically and, even 2040, the goal is that electric or hybrid planes are already in Norwegian airspace. 6tt55

According to a report by the Norwegian aviation company Avinor in partnership with the country's Civil Aviation Agency, the planes will reduce the use of fuel and, consequently, reduce the emission of greenhouse gas to reduce climate change. The first fully functional models are expected to arrive within the next 10 years.

The documents also confirm that there are already several manufacturers that are developing new models of plane to meet the country's demand. Up until 2030, Norway is expected to offer the first flight performed completely with an electrically powered vehicle.

The report presents one of the planes being developed for the new stage of aviation in Norway, however, it has only 19 seats. In the future, companies should offer more robust options.

Another model cited in the report is the Alice, an all-electric plane from Evasion which was launched in early 2020 and has a capacity for nine people. When fully loaded, the small aircraft can travel up to 1046 km. As it is not a giant country, it can easily supply the need for domestic flights.

“The world is facing a climate crisis and it is up to us in the transport sector to make the biggest reductions in [gas] emissions. Helping to achieve this is my main task as Minister of Transport and Communications. We must deliver on that, and electric aircraft can be part of the solution,” said Norwegian Transport Minister Knut Arild Hareide.

Other manufacturers are already developing options, such as Airbus, which is creating a hybrid plane with a conventional engine and electric battery pack. Currently, Norway is already known for being one of the countries that most uses renewable energy around the world, with high acceptance of electric cars. THE Tesla It's a famous brand there.

Compared to 2020, if the Norwegians are successful in this new journey of electric and hybrid planes, it is expected that the emission of gases reduce by at least 80% 2040 up.
