Wes Craven got the birth of Freddy Krueger right and made one of the best films of the 80s. This production is by far one of my favorites among all that make up the list of crazy killers in slashers

Several people on Elm Street are stalked by a serial killer who kills his victims in their dreams. As the survivors try to find the reason they were chosen, the killer will waste no opportunity to kill them.

It's not that Krueger is out there for nothing and to the time he decides to kill for sport. The bigger problem that the film indicates is that the new victims are paying for the mistakes of past generations. There was a time when the people of the neighborhood decided to take the law into their own hands when they discovered that Freddy Krueger had committed disgusting acts. They burned the man alive who, after a long time, returns as a supernatural threat to haunt all the children of those who were responsible for the act.

The Fly (1986)  3k482m

Original title: The Fly

93% on Rotten Tomatoes | 7,6 on IMDb

Where to see: Star +

Do you Cronenberg and all his aesthetics involving the threats of the scientific world? This time, he appears on the list with one of the most disgusting and terrifying films there is. It was probably these elements that made it an acclaimed film that deserved a place in the mainstream.

Em The fly, we can find a very young Jeff Goldblum giving life to the eccentric scientist Seth Brundle. He completes his teleportation device and decides to test the effectiveness of the experiment on himself. Without him noticing, a fly falls into the device during the process and causes him to merge with the insect. However, he thinks the experiment was a success, until he begins to notice that the fly's cells are taking over his body, and he ends up transforming into a monstrous creature.

Through incredible practical effects, graphically speaking, the feature film is the apex of Cronenberg's aesthetic exploration, which became known as a segment of "Body Horror" or "body horror". This subgenre often generates reflections on disease and aging in ways that are as disturbing as the themes themselves.

Tobe Hooper gives a very valuable lesson with Poltergeist, one of the classics of the 80s. Try to find out more about the history surrounding the land on which your house or apartment was built. Serious. The premise is basic but the unfolding of the story ends up being terrifying. Here, a family's home is haunted by a series of demonic ghosts. This is because the builders decided to ignore that the territory was previously the city's cemetery – a classic case of dehumanization that the corporate world takes as its motto.
