The four different light filters represent:

  • The first, in purple, shows the exoplanet seen through the NIR Cam (Near Infrared Instrument) in a range of 3,00 micrometers (?m);
  • The one in blue also shows the HIP 65426b through a NIR Cam, but this is in a range of 4,44 ?m. 
  • Moving on to the third, it is possible to see the exoplanet HIP 65426b through an instrument MIRI (Middle Infrared Instrument), which use larger bands.
  • Finally, the most apparent photo was also captured with a MIRI, but in a range of 15,5 ?m.

A NASA know that the HIP 65426b it is located at a distance that is 100 times greater than the Earth is from the Sun (there is still no clear name for the Star that sends out light) from its star. Scientists point out that this great distance from the star makes the translation movement take 630 years to happen and that the exoplanet is 12 times larger than Jupiter.
