“Professor Willow's research into the habits of Pokémon around the world had some interesting findings. Early information indicates that we will have a greater influx of Grass-type Pokémon sometime this weekend. These Pokémon will appear in the wild more often, starting in the afternoon of May 5th, but only for a short time. We anticipate that the Pokémon will return to their normal habitat on May 8, 2017.”
With this, coaches can take advantage of Catch Grass-type Pokémon from the Johto region, like the starter Chikorita, as well as Bellossom and Sunflora.
Niantic closes US city streets for public event over the weekend 717136
The developer Niantic, of the game, will first community event for players in a public space in the United States, in partnership with the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. The company announced that the first weekend will be in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“We founded Niantic to give people the chance to connect with the world around them using technology and games in an innovative way,” said John Hanke, CEO of Niantic. “Partnering with the Knight Foundation is a great way to explore how technology can help people engage with the community.”
The events in general will take Pokémon trainers on a tour of some public spaces with a predetermined route, which includes gyms and PokéStops for trainers to enjoy the game and explore the city. The Knight Foundation with Niantic are working with US city councils to host these events.
In addition to being a way to get people to enjoy the public space by bicycle, walking, having a picnic in the streets, this is another step towards um huge event for the appearance of a legendary Pokémon, for example. Who knows!
