A pun – in English – between the phrases “may the force be with you” (“may the force be with you”) and “may the 4th be with you” (“May the 4th of May be with you”) definitively immortalized the 4th of May in the fan calendar of Star Wars: this is when the day dedicated to the saga is celebrated, which became known as Star Wars Day. 695gh
The story of a galaxy far, far away started there in 1977, it changed cinema and pop culture forever. Even with nine films in the Skywalker saga, made up of three trilogies, the Star Wars universe is very rich and with productions that go beyond the story involving Luke, Han Solo, Princess Leia and Darth Vader. Check with us a list of 5 productions to marathon on this special date.
Among the productions, we are no longer limited to series and movies, but also recommend games and other interesting media that deviate from the standard. Check out!
Ahsoka i6q66
No, it's not the series, not even a movie of its own (yet). It is the (canonical, it is worth mentioning) book of the same name written by EK Johnston. Among the books in the Star Wars universe, this is one of the most interesting because it is a novel. stand alone, that is, without connection with other literary franchises in the saga, so to speak. As the name suggests, it focuses entirely on Anakin Skywalker's padawan, Ahsoka Tano.
One of the highest rated Goodreads, the book charts Ahsoka's inner struggles after Order 66, how she feels about the two masters she met, Anakin and Obi-Wan, and her somewhat distant and hazy involvement with the first sparks of the revolution. It's an interesting character analysis for fans of the series, so be sure to check it out.
We're not sure how much content is borrowed from the book and the series. live action The next one will have, but here's the message to pay attention to her, which comes out, as expected, on Disney+, in August 2023. If you liked the character's cameo in The Mandalorian, you can be sure that you will be amazed by the spin off own.
Andor 1e5r3x
If you're tired of lightsabers and are looking for a more political and, to some extent, interesting plot, Andor is the right choice. The eponymous character appeared in the film Rogue One and, through the series, we see his past as a thief and eventual revolutionary, being a true presentation of how a revolution can be born and grow not only in society, but within each one of us.
Transforming from a cynic disbelieving in the future of existence - as many of us are today - Cassian Andor becomes a spy devoted to the rebel cause. The reasons for this can be found on Disney+, streaming where the series is available. The second season is scheduled for release in August 2024.
Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor 6g6l18
Published by EA and developed by Respawn Entertainment, both games put you in the shoes of survivor Cal Kestis, a young padawan who managed to escape the infamous order 66 and has lived as a recluse ever since. When his identity is discovered, however, Inquisitors from the Galactic Empire begin to pursue him; in the midst of it all, he finds important allies and seeks to rebuild the Jedi order.
The titles are interesting in that they put the player in the shoes of a marginalized fugitive in the times of the Empire, when the rebellion was not yet so poignant in the different space systems of the Star Wars universe. Furthermore, the story is filled with small easter eggs for enthusiasts, as well as offering explanations about worlds and other important aspects.
In Jedi Survivor, we have an older Cal Kestis and, although not exactly wise, more prudent. Working with the resistance cell led by Saw Gerrera, the Jedi Knight ends up in a complex plot that involves the archive of the Jedi reconstructed by his master Cere Junda, a world undiscovered by the Empire that can serve as refuge and unexpected betrayals. An interesting point is character customization: each Cal Kestis can be very different depending on personal tastes.
Fallen Order is available for PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One and Series S and X and PC. In the rare case that you're a Stadia , it's still out there too. Already Eat Survivor is only available for PS5, Xbox Series S and X, and PC.
The Mandalorian 6c6s5i

Em The Mandalorian (The Mandalorian), Din Djarin is a lone warrior who works as a bounty hunter. He embarks on a journey through the forgotten territories of the galaxy, shortly after the fall of the Empire and before the creation of the dreaded First Order. Along his adventures, Mando (as he is known) ends up meeting little Grogu, (aka Baby Yoda) that changes the course of their plans.
With references from samurai and western movies, The Mandalorian it's a breather for those already fed up with stories involving Jedis and the Skywalker family. The series has two seasons and a third has already been confirmed.
Obi-Wan Kenobi 3y6f4d
The name already indicates the subject: the series focused on Obi-Wan Kenobi, one of the most beloved characters in the entire Star Wars franchise. If May the 4th is no longer synonymous with being a fan of the saga, the ideal thing is for you to marathon Kenobi's series to see some familiar faces and others not so much. In addition to the guaranteed dose of nostalgia, there is a good story behind the consecrated lightsaber fights.
The story concerns Obi-Wan's life 10 years after the Episode III (Revenge of the Sith), when he sets out to rescue Princess Leia and discovers some inconvenient truths along the way, in addition to having to face the feared Inquisitors and the already emblematic PTSD.
star wars visions 4i1ep

star wars visions is an anthology series celebrating the franchise through different anime-style shorts. In each episode, a Japanese animator or animation studio puts its lens on the universe created by George Lucas, sharing the result with the public.
Veterans like Production IG (from Psycho- e Ghost in the Shell) and “newbies” like Science SARU (from Devilman Crybaby) provide their own view of the galaxy far, far away. It is curious to see the work of George Lucas, who has often acknowledged his saga's debt to Akira Kurosawa's films and the traditions of Jidaigeki, remade by Japanese studios.
The second season of the animation was released in 2023 and is also available on Disney+, the same place where you can find the first episodes of the anthology, and follows the same guidelines as the first compilation.
a new dawn 5o2h70
The second book on our list is a new dawn, another canonical story of the Star Wars universe released in Brazilian territory by Editora Aleph. John Jackson Miller's book is interesting for exploring a bit the past of characters from the Star Wars Rebels animation, showing how the universe behaved under the dominion of the Galactic Empire and how this influence was felt by normal people.
It's a classic story of a Jedi who fled Order 66 and started offering mercenary services, eventually confronted by ghosts from the past that force him to face, once again, the Empire that destroyed his order. It sounds cliché, but that doesn't mean it's not a good book.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story 5f1wf

The film shows the action of the rebels that resulted in the delivery of the Death Star projects to Princess Leia, starting point of "A New Hope". Although it makes connections with the main chronology, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) is essentially a war movie, unlike anything Star Wars has delivered to us over the years in cinema.
Clone Wars 2D 4z6l6n
This one is to catch nostalgics off guard. the warm afternoons of the early 2000s when you watched the short but highly animated episodes of Clone Wars on Cartoon Network? Hard to forget the first appearance of General Grievous, or the rescue operations led by elite squadrons of clones.
The animation is especially compelling even after 20 years, which attests to the quality of the animation, which can be found, like most others here, on Disney+. The episodes are short, with up to 10 minutes, but the complete season released in 2003 gives, more or less, 2 hours in total, a great pastime, even more so for those who want controlled doses of clone wars.
Star Wars Rebels 3xw3d

In a similar theme to Rogue One, Star Wars Rebels was a 3D animated series that followed the journey of a young Jedi, incorporating elements from Clone Wars. However, the creators envisioned Rebels to be more of a children's show, and many of the violent killings with the sabers were censored. With four seasons, the production is set 14 years after Episode III and five years before Episode IV.
Focusing on a small group of characters, the group of rebels is very well built, and they all have exciting evolution arcs to continue following the show. In addition, Rebels also served to give birth to some characters that, even with their participation in the films, were always a little off, such as the leaders of the Rebel Rebellion, as well as the extremist leader Saw Guerrera, presented in The Clone Wars and introduced to the movie universe in Rogue One.
original trilogy 2l2m13
The legendary Star Wars original trilogy represents the story that started George Lucas' franchise, showing the saga of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), a young man with great potential in the Force, along with the iconic Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), against the well-known and widespread Galactic Empire.
Comprising three films, the trilogy is quite illustrative of a classic battle between good and evil, with striking archetypes and scenes that entered the history not only of science fiction, but also of cinema.
O Episode IV: A New Hope it deals with the battle of the characters mentioned there in the first paragraph against the Empire. no longer Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, the rebel alliance led by Leia and Luke faces a major threat with the arrival of Empire forces led by Vader, in addition to meeting the emblematic master Yoda. Finally, in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, we have the destruction of the New Death Star and the end of the Galactic Empire.
prequel trilogy 3q255q
the trilogy The prequel from Star Wars is about how Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) became Darth Vader and the fall of the Galactic Republic. Composed of the movies Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Episode II: Attack of the Clones e Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, the trilogy explores Palpatine's rise to power and Obi-Wan Kenobi's (Ewan McGregor) and Pé Amidala's (Natalie Portman) attempts to stop the Empire from taking shape and dominating the galaxy.
The first chapter tells the story of how young Anakin Skywalker, a slave on Tatooine, is discovered by the Jedi and becomes an apprentice to Qui-Gon Jinn. The second film, with Anakin now a young adult and Jedi padawan, sees the young man tasked with protecting Senator Pé Amidala as he tries to solve a murder and discovers a secret army of clones. Finally, we have Anakin's tragic age to the dark side of the force and his rebirth as one of the entertainment universe's most recognizable villains, Darth Vader.
New Republic Trilogy 4t6p1s
After the fall of the Empire, a new threat arises in a remaining faction known as the First Order, while the Resistance tries to stop these dissidents from conquering the galaxy. The trilogy divided opinions throughout its duration, but had interesting appearances by old characters and the insertion of very charismatic characters.
Set thirty years after the original trilogy, the Empire has been replaced by the First Order, led by the mysterious Kylo Ren. In the midst of it all, young Rey and defecting soldier Finn team up with Han Solo and Chewbacca to stop the First Order threat and find the missing Luke Skywalker.
The second film is about Luke Skywalker and Rey training as the Resistance, led by Leia, seeks to survive attacks by the First Order. Finally, the Resistance and the First Order come into a final confrontation when Palpatine returns from the dead, claiming to be the source of all evil in the galaxy and the wielder of the power of the so-called dark side.
Empire of Dreams: The Story of the Star Wars Trilogy r21
We end our list with the most different, but certainly the most significant tip to watch on that date. Empire of Dreams: The Story of the Star Wars Trilogy (Empire of Dreams: The Story of the Star Wars Trilogy) allows us to see how things are done behind the camera, in a fascinating way. However, the on-screen documentary goes beyond simply showing a making of of the first Star Wars trilogy.
Empire of Dreams is a dive into a great ocean of variables that make up the entire process of producing films with the magnitude of Star Wars; from the embryonic phase, going through the early life of George Lucas – the creator of the saga – to post-production, including the sale of merchandising related to the films in the trilogy, that is, it is a complete and comprehensive documentary that I recommend not only for Star Wars fans, but for anyone curious, who is interested in discovering some of the facets of this fabulous industry called cinema.
All cinematographic and/or animated productions indicated above are available on Disney +.
