Voting in transit is the option provided by the Electoral Court for those who wish to vote outside their electoral domicile, without having to justify as in the past. Inserted in Electoral Code, at art. 233-A, the novelty came with the TSE Resolution No. 23.669/2021 and allows all voters to participate in the 2022 Elections.
Thus, the vote in transit is a form of remote voting, valid both for voters who are temporarily in another city or state, and for those who were unable to request the transfer in the first half of 2022.

To be entitled to vote in transit, it is mandatory to make the request at the TRE (Regional Electoral Court) of your state. The voter must appear in person at any electoral office, regardless of location, within July 18 to August 18 and request the mode. There is no way to make this request online, only in person.
Voters with electoral domicile abroad may request to vote in transit to vote in Brazil. However, voters with electoral domicile in Brazil will not be entitled to vote abroad, so they must use the electoral justification through the application. e-Title, available to Android e iOS (iPhone).
For this, voters must have the title of regular voter, with no unexcused absences or pending fines on their registration. Voter registration cannot be suspended either. You can check your electoral status on the website TSE or in the app e-Title.

Despite the benefits of the novelty, there are still some limitations. To voters who vote in different cities, but not same state from your electoral domicile, you will be able to vote for all positions, namely: President, senators, governor, Congressman e state deputy.
However, for the voter who is in a different state from your electoral domicile, you will only be allowed to vote for President. The same rule applies to voters who have an electoral domicile abroad and are voting in Brazil.
The 2022 elections will take place in two rounds: the first on October 2nd, and, if it takes place, the second round will be on October 30th.
