The game, which arrives on Friday, 07, is one of the biggest releases of 2021 and will definitely be a delight for fans of survival horror. 1j3s5

Once Upon a time… 6m5d5q
In 2017 Resident Evil 7 surprised audiences by taking the story to the swamps of Louisiana, at the home of the Bakers, a friendly country family that was contaminated by a species of mold by a biological weapon known as Eveline, who takes the form of a little girl.
The game introduced a new protagonist to the series, Ethan Winters, who decides to explore the Baker home in search of his missing girlfriend, Mia. From there, a series of bizarre and macabre events begin to unfold, explaining Mia's relationship with Eveline, how the family was infected by that mold, as well as (re)introducing Chris Redfield in the plot, with a revamped look and as an agent of Umbrella.
Resident evil village, in turn, follows this sequence of events and begins with Ethan and Mia overcoming the traumas of the past while raising their daughter, Rose, hiding in Europe in search of a normal life. As the trailers had already revealed, something happens and Mia is murdered by Chris and his agents and kidnaps the newborn child. However, things go (more) wrong and Ethan finds himself lost in a village with dark events and sets out on a mission to recover his daughter.
In general, this is what we will comment on the history of Resident evil village. Any more in-depth information should compromise the readers' experience during the campaign, and trust me, you won't want to take too many spoilers of the game, although the big reveals - most of the story - are only evidenced in the last hour of the game.
And of course, from that moment on, there is no way to draw parallels with the loved one. Resident Evil 4. For many it seems to fit almost perfectly as a reworking of the classic: we go somewhere in Europe in the middle of nowhere, face enemies of a mysterious sect in a large village, then set off to explore a castle in order to find a kidnapped person. .

On the surface it even makes sense and in fact, Village draws on the structural source of Resident Evil 4, but as we played and finished the new game, we understood that it was not designed to be a "version 2.0", a "soft reboot” or a re-imagining of RE4. On the contrary, the two games have their similarities, but they have totally different proposals and ambitions.
Ethan Winters, a man of bad luck 1e4e
When presented as the protagonist of Resident Evil 7, Ethan was one of the most criticized aspects of the game, precisely because it is set in first person and gives a very shallow development to the character, almost in an inexpressive way. Besides not even showing your face.
Fortunately Village fixes this problem and although Capcom insists on not showing Ethan's face well, the big daddy gains a good base of development, lots of lines and interactions and, above all, a well-built personality. If in RE7 what moved the player was the sick family and the desire to know what was happening, in RE Village Ethan takes over the reins of the narrative and creates a better bond with the player. Now we control a human character, with expectations and fears, and no longer just a generic puppet.
About boys and wolves…. 3q624l
Since its announcement, one of the biggest mysteries of Resident Evil Village has been about a specific character, which has been popular with the public and has aroused many eyes in recent months: Lady Dimitrescu, the 3-foot flamboyant vampire.
Much has been speculated about the origin or the great role of Dimitrescu in the plot and even the developers themselves did not imagine such "commotion" towards the villain. With that came a big problem: how to align the expectations of the fans with a character that was originally created to serve a smaller scope and not to serve as the great antagonist of the game?

To be honest, Lady Dimistrescu's participation may disappoint some players due to her short screen time. This is due to the simple fact that it was not developed to be a new version of the Mr.X ou Nemesis de Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remake. If in her imagination Lady Dimitrescu will fulfill the role of stalker from beginning to end of the game, she can stop there, because that doesn't happen.
The character's participation is more limited to the castle and its ruins, however, this does not mean that it is a bad use of the villain. Unlike Mr.X, for example, Dimitrescu fulfills a specific function within his narrative arc and as we have already emphasized before, the character is not the main antagonist, but she is still a great adversary in what she proposes.
To increase the more “fanciful” atmosphere of the campaign, the Lady of the castle has the help of her three daughters: Bela, Cassandra and Daniela to make Ethan's life a real hell. The daughters' participation is limited, but it provides fun clashes with the sadistic vampires.
Speaking of sadism… Resident Evil 7 had as a trump its great rogues gallery: Lucas and Margareth, but mainly Jack Baker, who I consider as one of the best antagonists of the entire series. Fortunately Resident Evil Village shines with yet another excellent portfolio of villains.
Special emphasis goes to Heisenberg, which did not gain much prominence in the trailers and much was speculated about its origin and participation. What I can say is that the character surprises with a background accentuated and an eccentric personality, a pleasant surprise. In addition, I need to mention that the confrontation with the character is something very “outside the house”, so to speak. Surprising and a lot of fun, to say the least.

There are at least two more “bosses” in the campaign, which are even slightly mentioned in the publicity material, but I won't go into detail, as they are equally surprising. The first creates one of the most terrifying moments in the entire series, while the second can be considered a good one. fan service for RE4 lovers.
However, the mysterious and great-minded role behind it all lies with the unknown mother Miranda, shown in the latest demos and trailers. Its history and motivation are a big secret until the end of the journey and it reveals good information about the new lore that has been built for the franchise.
However, not only bosses make a good game. It is necessary to fill the environments well with challenging and monstrous enemies, something that Resident Evil 7 even did well with the moldy ones. The putrefying and sinister look of the monsters causes fear and tension, but it lacked variety of “common” rivals. Village again fixes this issue and adds many – many – enemies with various variations.

Beyond the lycans and the creatures that appear in the castle demo, we also have some variations of these monsters and other monsters that perform this role of “generic monster”, but they are actually quite surprising. The opponents' artificial intelligence is good enough and enemies usually attack in large groups, causing the player to find himself in a tight spot to manage his ammo and get out of the fight without too many hits.
Once again Resident Evil shows that it knows how to make great villains, but these same antagonists take advantage of a very important aspect of the franchise: the setting and the scenarios.
However, the biggest criticism for Resident Evil Village is that the game has an excellent narrative scope, but it doesn't know how to take advantage of it during its 10/11 hours of gameplay. The impression is that the whole story is only revealed in the last 40 minutes, while the previous 9 hours were just shooting, escapes and a little individual development for specific characters.
Village forgets to tell a story gradually and leaves the mark that it could be more, however, it is in the middle ground, without having a campaign as intriguing as its predecessor. The engine that powers Resident Evil Village's narrative gears are its great characters.
Villages, castles and ruins 82e1n

Right off the bat comparisons to Resident Evi 4l will return, after all, the first major area we are introduced to is a sinister village with very suspicious and bloody activities.
The village has many secrets and let's say it is a central location for the plot. We'll spend more time roaming around those areas than other areas, but make no mistake, Resident Evil Village uses a lot of settings that won't even cross the minds of the public at this point.
And you can't deny Capcom's whim in developing these scenarios. Each one of them conveys a different emotion to the player and knows how to work with the player's fears to surprise him in the end. The village is intriguing and macabre in the early hours, while the castle has a classic tone, more dynamic and with action. The other locations make this mixture of experience and senses, resulting in a great dynamic between gameplay, space and player.

But is it horror or action? 245f2k
Thanks to its excellent atmosphere, Resident evil village is a great suspense game with an emphasis on action and sinister horror moments. The beginning of the game conditions a climate of terror, but as we get the hang of it and acquire more and more weapons, things turn to action.

The game uses the ambiance and sound quality to play sensory tricks with the player, as every good movie or horror game does too, but these moments are more specific than general, limited to key areas and situations. Resident Evil Village uses the unexpected to scare the player in the first few hours, but it seems to purposely lose that rhythm to follow its own faster cadence, without giving up the visceral essence.
However, Village has one of the scariest, disgusting, bizarre and sickening moments I've played for the last few years. A piece of gameplay that plays on Ethan's fears and feelings and is chilling.
Graphics and optimization 3w446o
Speaking of the setting, the aspect of graphic quality always comes up and Resident Evil has its own style that merges the realistic and the fantasy, even more so in Village, which seeks great inspirations from folk and medieval terror to compose its landscapes. , costumes and sets.
Resident Evil Village is beautiful in its own way. The game is not close to the super expressive acuity of a The Last of Us Part II of life and it doesn't need to. The title is pretty enough with its textures, effects and good lighting thanks to the Ray Tracing.
In of optimization there is not much to say: the RE Engine, the graphics engine on which the game was developed, is one of the best in the industry. Resident Evil Village is an example of good optimization on the PC, showing that it is possible to produce very beautiful games for different types of machines.

Our tests were carried out with a modest configuration already a little “old”, with an Intel Core i5-6600, 16 GB of RAM 2666 MHz and an RX 480 8 GB from XFX. Our experience was set in a balance between medium and high in Full HD and we still managed to risk a gameplay at 1440p, which although it doesn't spike at 60 frames, delivers good gameplay with the correct settings.

A few years ago, Capcom was already localizing its games with menus and subtitles in Portuguese, but only Resident Evil Village brought the developer's first game with a dubbing for our language and I must confess, it's excellent.
The choice of voice actors seems to have been handcrafted, with a lot of personality and intonation for all characters, especially for Ethan, as was to be expected.
Furthermore, the whole sound aspect of Village is very good and the player needs to play the game with a headset or good quality headphones as it will completely change your experience, making it more immersive and frightening. Much of the scares and tension is caused by the excellent soundscape.
Gameplay 106d5e
Resident Evil 7 suffered numerous criticisms for being announced with a first-person camera, and in the end it surprised by the good gameplay even with the sudden change of perspective. Village follows this path and refines these mechanics. Overall, I'd say it was the most fun Resident Evil I've played in recent years in this regard, suring - by a little - RE 2 remake.
Structurally, the games are similar, but in the total composition, Village has the advantage by asg more elements to its gameplay. The main proof of this is the return of a “new version” of the Merchant from Resident Evil 4, the Duke.

The Duke is a caricatured figure, but in addition to selling and buying player items, he also has a special highlight in the plot, unlike the dear Merchant. The Duke has wagons scattered across different locations on the map and there the player can buy ammo, weapons, upgrades, healing items, customize weapons, etc. All for one price.
But how to pay? Village again introduces a “rewards system”. When killing enemies they will drop valuables, which can be sold to the Duke and exchanged for an amount of Law, the in-game currency. It is also possible to find certain Law values by breaking boxes and jars scattered around the scenario, which are also filled with low ammo.

Ammo is found in the setting, but much of it will be produced by the player himself. For this we need to find supplies around the map, such as rusty metal parts, chemical fluid and gunpowder to make pistol and shotgun ammo, for example. But for some specific weapon ammo, like the time-honored rifle, the player needs to buy the recipe on how to produce it from the Duke.
Weapon customization is very interesting. We can increase the firepower of the pistol by purchasing this upgrade, but it is also possible to find or buy accessories such as an extended magazine and equip it on the weapon.
Os puzzle also return and are very simple to be solved by the player, without major problems. Village maintains the classic essence of the franchise with the famous back and forth of items. For example, we go through 4 golden doors that need a golden key to open. However, we only find this item at the end of an area, and then we return to those doors, opening shortcuts or collecting more key items for campaign progression.

Os you know The main ones are made with the already classic typewriter, but it is not necessary to use the ink ribbons to save one save. Just get to the machine and that's it.
Conclusion 60664y
Resident evil village it's exactly what fans wanted. A game that improves on all aspects of its predecessor and will guarantee some good hours of fun for players. The game reinforces Capcom's good commitment to the saga in recent years, and although it's not perfect, it's definitely a point out of the curve for 2021. An excellent and mandatory title for players of all platforms. I dare say it's the franchise's best bet in recent years and perhaps one of the best experiences of the entire series.
