The new line of AMD Ryzen 7000 processors promises to deliver high performance for gamers and power for creators and graphics professionals.

From least to most potent, the line 7000 of AMD's Ryzen processors arrives with brute force against competing models from Intel's Raptor Lake line. We tested the launch that promises to deliver the best experience for players, artists and computing professionals, come check it out! 1r6x3v

Ryzen 7000 Line 2u4n30

Let's go to the presentations: we tested five models of the line, namely: Ryzen 5 7600, 5 7600x, 7 7700, 9 7900 and 9 7950x – models ending in X indicate that they are indicated for high-performance desktops.

Although they differ slightly in processing capacity, they converge in technology. Thanks to new microarchitecture Zen 4, the processors are compatible with socket motherboards AM5 with PCIe® 5.0 e DDR5 and also have the technology AMD EXPO™ (Extended Profiles for Overclocking) that s overclocking of memory, bringing greater speed to the computer system.

AMD Ryzen 7000 features up to 16 U cores, increased clock 5,7 GHz, 80 MB cache, 32 threads and dedicated video accelerators. Another thing is that there is no longer the G line of the brand, which indicated the presence of integrated video and technology RDNA2 — this technology is already included in the new family.

The main highlights are the new technologies that AMD put into the construction of these processors. The microarchitecture Zen 4 enables chips to work with memories DDR5 on AM5 motherboard sockets, bringing more performance to the machine and working with more processing cycles per second. This represents a 20% gain in gaming and a 39% performance increase over the previous generation, according to AMD.

Already AMD EXPO™ has high frequencies and allows settings that unlock rates of frame, giving that famous up in the graphics experience.

Another novelty is that the processors already come with integrated graphics and RDNA 2 technology, something that was only available in previous generation G models, a line that, as mentioned earlier, no longer exists here. This technology has two computational units that provide an interesting increase in resources, such as: graphics with HDMI 2.1 output, Displayport via USB type-c, 4K resolution and codec H.264, HEVC and AV1 video.

Ryzen 7000 vs Intel Raptor Lake 6v3b61

Check out the comparison of we have tested it on the website. On the right, we have the comparison between the Ryzen 5 7600X and the Core i5 13600K from the same lines and which are more “cleans” of their families.

On the left, the Ryzen 7000 line stands out with ease, accumulating 3.580 points in front of the competitor in the ranking of Us in the market, on the right, Intel takes the lead by a few points. Even so, I must say that in of speed, the AMD model still excels in practical use.

Tests 6t3a6q

There were five processors to test, so we'll talk briefly about the result of each one in performance tests. benchmarking, gambling and finally we will highlight the positive and negative points of the line.

Before that, check out the setup used.

Processors Ryzen 5 7600, 5 7600x, 7 7700, 9 7900 and 9 7950x
Motherboard Gigabyte X670E AORUS MASTER
GPU ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4070 Ti

Ryzen 7000 vs Benchmark 2a4k18

Time spy is an benchmarking da 3dMark focusing on graphic performance of gaming PCs, uses DirectX 12 with 4K quality and requires a GPU with at least 4GB of dedicated memory to perform. As we used an RTX 4070Ti with 12GB of memory, we had no problems.

The chart below contains information about the performance and scores that each processor achieved in the test.

The higher the index, the better (Image: Larissa Bueno/ Showmetech)

The Ryzen 5 7600, 5 7600X and 7 7700 models achieved similar scores, showing that even with the most basic model, among many quotes, the performance impresses. About that, I can attest with authority that AMD did a great job in building these processors and there is a clear difference between the models, but none falls short or is below an irable quality; I'll talk about that more in a moment.

Between the Ryzen 9 7900 and 9 7950X models, the difference is absurd, almost 10 thousand more points that can be easily seen in practice and in everyday use, whether for games, editions, simple accumulated tasks or even heavier tasks. Honestly, I've never had a processor as fast in my hands as the 9750X, it's scary.

Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2023 2t4s4e

During the test days, the with Adobe's video editing system was heavily used: video effects, audio, transitions and, of course, putting everything to render in 1080p and 4K. Below I have separated a graph based on the rendering time that each processor took to finish a 20-minute video.

The lower the number, the better. (Image: Larissa Bueno/ Showmetech)

For comparison, the personal computer of the one who writes to you takes around 15 to 20 minutes to render a video in 1080p (Full HD) and more than an hour to render in 4K. My processor is a Ryzen 5 3600 with 32mb of cache and up to 4.2 GHz, which already breaks a big branch. That is, with any Ryzen from the 5000 line I would be 5 times happier, imagine using that line.

When I tested Intel's 13th Gen Us, I had no issues with stuttering, performance or overheating, and the same goes now for the Ryzen 7000 family, with the exception of the last point, as in all tests I felt that the U got hot a lot, especially during games. In general, the processors delivered everything that was promised by AMD, including this heating issue, which had also been warned by the brand – literally, they deliver what they promise.

I was quite surprised with the capacity and speed of the Us and here's a highlight for the Ryzen 9 7950x which not only doubled, but almost tripled performance compared to sisters.

GTA V 43849

Even after so many years of release, Rockstar's action game remains great for U tests, as the game requires both processing and graphics capacity of the computer. Below are the highest and lowest FPS rates each processor achieved.

Processor Higher frame rate per second Lower frame rate per second
5 7600 180 fps 176 fps
5 7600x 185 fps 178 fps
7 7700 187 fps 179 fps
9 7900 186 fps 181 fps
9 7950x 190 fps 183 fps

Cyberpunk 2077 4343

Testing this game has already become routine, I like it because it always pulls a lot from the GPU and the U and still has the technology DLSS-3, which doubles the frames on the screen in order to improve image quality and immersion in the game. Below, the highest and lowest FPS rates that each processor reached when running this graphics colossus.

Game is very U intensive (Playback: Cyberpunk 2077)
Processor Higher frame rate per second Lower frame rate per second
5 7600 117 fps 108 fps
5 7600x 124 fps 115 fps
7 7700 127 fps 117 fps
9 7900 127 fps 120 fps
9 7950x 130 fps 123 fps

Call of Duty: War zone 2.0 4b52

The optimized version of the classic first-person shooter from Activision it's another one that weighs heavily on processing capacity. for being a battle royale its gameplays are quite frantic, which requires a setup robust to the height of the game. One more table for verification goes ahead.

Players need to have a U that doesn't let them down (Image: Reproduction Activision)
Processor Higher frame rate per second Lower frame rate per second
5 7600 196 fps 190 fps
5 7600x 196 fps 191 fps
7 7700 198 fps 193 fps
9 7900 200 fps 194 fps
9 7950x 200 fps 196 fps

Conclusion 60664y

AMD's Ryzen 7000 lineup boasts a giant leap in performance over the previous generation and the integrated graphics on the models give a up more than interesting in experience. I had almost no problems using the processors, almost because of the considerable heating — which is a cause for concern, since frequent heat can end up ruining the part.

Regarding the use for work, there is nothing to complain about, the numbers speak for themselves, they optimize and make life much easier for professional computer graphics or computer engineers. I, for example, felt a considerable difference compared to Intel's 13th generation.

AMD needs to review the heating issue, but processors are approved (Photo: Larissa Bueno/ Showmetech)

It's an excellent lineup for games and creators, it's a pleasure to see. However, it is good to that the new generation of Intel is sometimes delivering processors with a larger core threads for lower prices, a negative point for AMD.
