Four years after launching the second generation of its line of smart bracelets, the Samsung presents the Galaxy Fit3. Now, with a larger screen, new operating system and attractive price, see what we think of the new model that s monitoring for more than 100 sports. 3nm3l

The model was launched in three colors: graphite (black), silver and rose, with comfortable bracelets in black, white and pink, respectively. In addition to these colors, the Samsung will sell bracelets in green and orange colors on its official website for the price of R$99.
Compared to the Galaxy Watch6 Classic that I tested last year, the Galaxy Fit3 is much lighter and more comfortable to wear. Its official weight is 36,8 grams and the width is 2,8 centimeters. The thickness was 9,9 millimeters.
I had a better experience using the model to sleep, when I compare it to Samsung's latest smart watch, which is thicker and left marks on my arm.

The bracelet, made of rubber, is also very comfortable to wear on a daily basis and, again, if you have a thinner arm, there is nothing to worry about: it has ten holes that will definitely adapt to your wrist. .
About the Watch Faces — which are the different clock faces available for the screen — there are more than 100 ready-to-use options in the app Galaxy Wearable, but you can also create one from scratch with a photo and watch style you prefer. As a good pet parent, I created this one below with a photo of my dog, but you will definitely find one that suits what you like.

I really liked the group named after Information brick. It is possible to access information about the battery, time spent sleeping, steps taken during the day, activity time and calories burned, on a single screen.

The color display of the Galaxy Fit3 measures 1,6 inches, is made of durable glass and can also be completely customized via the app Galaxy Wearable. Compared to the Galaxy Fit2, launched in 2020, the screen is 0,5 inches larger and now features curved edges that make it easier to view from different angles.
The feature I liked most about the screen is the ambient light sensor, which prevents brightness adjustments during different parts of the day. The wearing experience reminds me of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic that I used last year. You slide your finger across the screen to go through each of the sessions and you can customize the button to activate some special functionality with two taps.

Despite being “only” 1,6 inches, I found the size of the screen with curved edges very interesting and I had no problems using it during tests carried out for a week. The peak brightness of 250 nits helped a lot for information to be seen outdoors. And, at night, everything was even better to see.

Considered a product in the entry category, this makes the Galaxy Fit3 be very dependent on a smartphone. Of course yes, you can start tracking physical activity on the Galaxy Fit3, but it will not be possible, for example, to record a walk via GPS or listen to music only on this smart bracelet from Samsung. If you have this purpose, it's time to invest in one of the Galaxy Watch launched by the company.
When connected to a cell phone, it is possible to see that you are receiving a call on the screen (and the bracelet starts to vibrate), and even respond to a message using ready responses. But that this is a complementary device and is far from being an independent product.
Another feature borrowed from Samsung's smart watches is snoring detection: but it needs to be connected to a cell phone and you need to sleep with your cell phone next to the bed for this to happen. As soon as you wake up, you can listen to the recording of possible snoring on the app Samsung health.

I also found the safety features very interesting: it can detect when a person has had a sudden fall while exercising and help can be requested with a few taps on the button. Furthermore, by pressing the single button five times, an SMS will be sent to the security s ed in the application.

Finally, the Galaxy Fit3 Can be used as a camera shutter. The device also has a screen that allows music control (pause, fast forward or rewind).
But it is important to that the emergency features, music control and use of the smartband as a photo/video capture button are exclusive to those who have a device from Samsung. I have an Infinix smartphone and, although it seems available, I was unable to use the features. Keep this in mind before making the purchase.
health monitoring 5d2o6

There is a hybrid sensor here to send data to the platform Samsung health: it detects the heart rate, can measure oxygen in the blood and can display information about the menstrual cycle. It can also show real-time calorie burn and steps taken throughout the day.
A problem I pointed out in my review of the Galaxy Watch6 Classic is that the Samsung deprived some tracking of Samsung devices, such as electrocardiograms. That didn't happen here and I liked that all the monitoring data could be seen on my Infinix Note30, manufactured by Impact. There is no for electrocardiograms, but all data could be viewed on a smartphone that was not developed by Samsung. And that's great.

Sleep detection is very interesting: it shows the data in a very didactic way and, after a week, classifies your nights of sleep with an animal and a score for each night of rest. After this analysis for seven days, you will receive tips for better sleep, including recommendations for organizing the environment, temperature, etc.

A Galaxy Fit3 has for 101 sports including the most common ones. The model also automatically detects six of them: walk, run, elliptical trainer, rowing machine, swimming in the pool and dynamic exercises.
If you are a person who swims, Samsung's smart bracelet arrives in Brazil with IP68 protection (resistant to water and dust) and can be used in swimming pools, lakes and seas up to 50 meters deep for 10 minutes.
Battery 554u5p

A Samsung promised that the smart bracelet's battery, with a capacity of 208 mAh, would last for up to 13 days according to some configurations. I've gotten pretty far from that, actually. But at the same time, I'm not disappointed: in my everyday life, I use um Amazfit neo, which lacks a color screen and more sports tracking features. And exactly for this reason, it has a battery that lasts for seven days of continuous use.
In my first use, I received the Samsung smart bracelet with 60% battery and the AlwaysOnDisplay activated, I had 30 hours of use. In the second cycle, with the battery at 100% and the AlwaysOnDisplay deactivated, I had 75 hours of use (exactly three days and three hours). On average, the battery lasted for three days and a few more hours before asking to go back to the socket.

That said, when using the bracelet's functions, you will need to charge it twice a week.
I would be more excited if Samsung's smart bracelet had a battery that lasted for a maximum of seven days on a single charge. But with charging completed in just an hour, this doesn't seem like that big of an issue.
The battery is powered via a magnetic POGOS connector that can be connected to a source with a USB-C connection. There is no traditional USB, so if you don't have a source like this, you will need an adapter, as I did too.
Operational system 1a5246

I almost believed that the WearOS was here, as everything resembles the operating system that runs on smart watches launched by Samsung more than three years ago. In fact, we have the Samsung RTOS with 256 MB of internal memory e 16 MB of RAM.
Although not the same, the RTOS extension reminiscent of the interface seen on the company's smart watches and even the applications Samsung health e Galaxy Wearable they work in the same way as seen on the Galaxy Watch6. The difference here is that there is no possibility of installing applications for the device to work autonomously.
It is a lighter system inspired by WearOS, but it is far from being the same (and, for this product, there is not even the pretension of being so).
Price and conclusion 4o2xx

Compared to competitor models, the price is the Galaxy Fit3's biggest Achilles heel at its launch. When it arrived in Brazil on February 21, 2024, it had a suggested price of R$549,00. Almost a week after that, during the closing of this review, it can now be found for R$ 494,10 on Pix, via Magazine Luiza.
A Galaxy Fit3 It is recommended for use with cell phones from the A Galaxy from Samsung and is even sold in combination with these models. However, it is possible to find the Xiaomi Band 8 Active for R$ 249,90, with very similar features and longer battery life.
It is important to that the company is very focused on delivering a cheaper model than its Galaxy Watch for those who pay less and have complete integration with the Galaxy ecosystem, but there is a price for that.

The “high price” for some people does not erase its range of benefits: having an interface to the Korean company's watches is a huge positive point, its battery has an interesting lifespan and it also has for tracking 101 sports.
Sleep monitoring is a huge positive point and it is also enough to deliver a complete experience for anyone who has a smartphone or tablet. Samsung. Its price is really its biggest “problem”, but who knows, during promotional periods like Black Friday, it will have a more interesting price.
