With the update package called Hitman: World of Assassination, the furtive game of murders, many of them sometimes even caricatures, perpetrated by the enigmatic (and bald to the point of shining, important to emphasize) Agent 47, Hitman 3 reaches a new level for the franchise. And it's all thanks to the inclusion of the incredibly fun game mode called Freelancer. 6cn5v
The ambitious origin of a contemporary classic 2p6f66
As crazy as it sounds, in November of this year, the series Hitman reaches 23 years of existence. It all started in 2000, with Hitman: code name 47, a game with technical problems, but of a unique genius. Too ambitious for the technology of the time, the game featured huge maps and a – for the time – huge range of ways to be played. It was the first product to come out of IO Interactive, a developer based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Despite the fierce criticism received for its limitations and many bugs, the game was recognized for what it brought back to the table; even in a rough state there was diamond to be found. After that, the IO Interactive endeavored to polish it, improving and perfecting mechanics. With that, making not only him and his head tattooed with the emblematic barcode of his protagonist shine, but also the whole experience of performing absurdly fun feats that each new mission presented to players around the world.

Since the year 2000, seven more titles Hitman hit store shelves. Six of them, including the first one, were released under the Eidos Interactive - and then Square Enix, after the purchase of the company by the Japanese giant. Hitman 2, from 2018, brought the coat of arms of Warner Bros Games on its cover, after giving up the Square Enix to continue with the brand and, with Hitman 3, IO Interactive debuted not only as the game's developer, but also as a distributor.
A new starting point for IO Interactive 156s15
the way that Hitman has been trailing since your reboot of 2016 is simply amazing. All the content present in that game has been ed and reused in the best sense of the word since then, from game to game, until we get to what we have today: Hitman: World of Assassination. This means that when you purchase the current version, you not only buy everything in Hitman 3, but also what came with the previous ones. Still up to date with the current improvements that the IO Interactive continues to work on it, releasing news for the game pack every month.

Okay, now that we know how the game got to where it is today, “what's really new in it?”, you might be asking yourself. Ah, my friend, there are many cool things, but the main thing I want to point out in this article is the way Freelancer. He's basically a roguelike the fashion Hitman. roguelike are nothing more than games in which there is only one chance to reach the end, and, if you fail, you go back directly to the beginning, losing everything you have gathered until that moment.
It may seem silly or even crazy to play something like that, after all, who in their right mind would enjoy something like that? It seems like a tremendous waste of time, and yes, there are several games that don't really resonate with me because of this. But stop Hitman, that approach fell like a pair of kid gloves in the hands of 47.
Not so Freelancer, you are given a hideout from which you, as the silent killer, launch campaigns against criminal cartels of various kinds. The missions you complete roll out on maps of the main game's stages, scattered around the world. Each of the campaigns starts with a group of three missions, two with targets marked among all the people on a certain map, and when you complete them, you arrive at what the game calls Showdown. This is the culmination of the sequence, when knowing the general characteristics of the leader of the criminal group, you set out to eliminate him.
Freelancer is by far the best way to play Hitman 4k6n6m
But calm down, it's not as easy as it looks. First, each campaign in the possible choices has a different list of objectives than the others. You can choose one that best suits your playing style. For example, if you're the type that likes to be more aggressive, there's the option to participate in assassinations that call for the use of large-caliber weapons, the destruction of enemy equipment, and even a certain number of guards to eliminate.
Even so, if there are such goals, most of them are purely optional. There are big benefits to completing them, of course, in the form of cash. mercers, what is the currency called world of assassination, allows you to buy new equipment to help your cleaning service based on bullets, blades, accidents, whatever. O Agent 47 start the mode Freelancer from level zero, with virtually nothing useful to take on missions. Everything needs to be found during them, or bought from vendors located at predetermined points in the phases, which vary between attempts.

The cool thing about this dynamic of mandatory objectives or not is that it makes the mode Freelancer be especially flexible to your wishes as a player, at any given time you sit down to enjoy the game. Of course, it's useful to fulfill them, because that way you get rich as an assassin, in addition to bringing more challenge to your game, but you can also just kill and still manage to finish the missions.
That is, of course, if you survive. At first, without the replay experience that comes naturally from playing through multiple locations throughout the game, the mode Freelancer it can be very difficult, and Hitman it naturally expects you to fail. So much so that, when falling on a mission, Diana, the of 47, encourages you to try again, that next time “they won't know what awaits them”.

Freelancer not as cruel, say, as the roguelike usual. When “dying”, the bald guy loses everything that was in his pockets. That is, all the weapons you took on the current attempt, plus all items considered consumables stored in the base, like poisons, explosives, that kind of thing. The weapons collected so far, which were not taken with you, and are exposed in the HQ, in turn, are saved. Ufa. Ah, but you also lose half of your accumulated cash. Oh no.
Okay, everything looks like a sea of flowers, says my dear reader, but what then? How does this campaign develop? Showdown forward? Let's go step by step, my friend! in the missions Showdown, you receive clues as to who is possibly the villain to be eliminated from a select group of characters, who travel certain routes through the maps. How, where and most importantly, who to kill is up to you to figure out and put into practice.
A constant dance with failure 5h5jn

Out of all the missions in this game mode, the climax ones are the most exciting by far. Even more so after you've already finished more than one campaign and the stakes are sky high, with a lot to lose financially. Losing in those moments already made me want to give up the game altogether, but the feeling didn't last long, and I came right back. It's so much fun, believe me.
Upon completing your first quad campaign, four consecutive series of missions, eliminating that same number of cartels, Freelancer considers you to have zeroed it. At that point, you can continue on to another series, resetting it again, and so on. The great grace, therefore, is completing all your arsenal, achieving all the objectives listed by the game a certain number of times, which gives you more paraphernalia to decorate your modest residence.

There are character levels to reach as well. Every 5 or so of them, new locations in the house are unlocked, or even special weapons are given out in celebration of special milestones, like reaching level 50. Nothing given by the game necessarily makes it easier or harder, it simply rewards you with more options to have fun, which, at the points you reach, will be another icing on the cake. After all, when you least realize it, when checking the hour counter, you will have logged a lot of them without having connected with it.
Freelancer still has one more card up his sleeve. she is the special mode Hardcore. That's where the bug gets. By activating it, you immediately lose everything that you've collected up to that point, starting from the beginning, and, more painfully, your collection is always erased with each death. It's true, whenever you fail, there's nothing left of equipment in the base of operations, pitibiriba necas. This possibility of being stabbed in the stomach makes each attempt your possible last mission, period. Tense, I know. And I it: I never got into this game, it's too much for me. But I ire those who do that, you can take my hat if you are part of this select group.
The moment of finalization, or rather, the conclusion 2u5f4u

Hitman 3 it was already extremely cool thanks to the aggregate of missions and updates carried over from previous games, since hitting the reset button for the franchise a few years ago. Now the new version world of assassination it's that hug you get when you meet an old date friend again. Not only do you everything you like about that person, but you also stay up to date with the news of their life, and take with you new and delicious memories of this reunion.
This is how I feel when I play Hitman: World of Assassination. I've had fun with the series' titles for decades, with the absurd situations it puts me in and the even crazier solutions I end up coming up with to get away with it. From mission to mission, whether it's a runaway on a Miami race track to shoulder-to-shoulder down a crowded Mumbai street, or infiltrating a man drug lord's drug camps in the jungle in search of a target... There's not a moment like this. every adventure that is in vain when it comes to this new version of the true classic of IO Interactive.

what pleased l6q13
- Extremely high degree of game variety
- Detailed and vivid maps, in constant motion
- Game always kept up to date by the producer
what displeased 2n281u
- Not having enough hours in a day to be able to play more
- 47's bald head is too bright, to the point of blinding the player
- The lack of being able to play Freelancer mode in the tutorial stages
The game itself is great, it's a shame the 3 doesn't have subtitles in pt-br.
This way of visiting 47's house and seeing the weapons on the wall was in the old franchise and it was really cool and satisfying to look at the wall full of machine guns and rifles...
Yes true! Subtitles are really needed, in 1 they had them, right? And I agree, at first, decorating 47's house seemed pretty silly, but I ended up getting hooked on it.
Congratulations on the analysis.. the last one I played was Absolution.. and I thought it was really, really cool.
Thank you very much, Alexander! Absolution really is sensational, it was in it that IOI started this more open game format that we see in World of Assassination. Despite the lukewarm reviews it received upon release, I like Absolution a lot too. =]
