Contrary to what common sense thinks, the Samsung not just a brand smartphones, but one of the world's largest companies in the field of technology. Now the South Korean giant has announced that those who use their smartphones will very soon have access to satellite connection for when they are outside the coverage area of mobile networks. 3x466r

The connection between smartphones and a satellite will take place through the very processor developed by the company, the Exynos, which is already used in many devices from the Samsung. The focus will be on bringing internet connection to remote areas where the mobile signal does not reach or works precariously.
“This milestone builds on our rich heritage in wireless communication technologies, following the introduction of the industry's first commercial 4G LTE modem in 2009 and the industry's first 5G modem in 2018”
Min Goo Kim, Vice President of Communications Processor Development at Samsung Electronics
So far, this type of connection only allows interactions that do not require a very powerful network - such as emergency calls and text messages - but the Samsung guarantees that in a short time its satellite technology will be able to the sending of photos and videos, expanding the possibilities of this type of connection.
It is interesting to mention that this type of connection will also be very useful in the case of places affected by natural tragedies, or in conflict environments, like the tragic war in Ucrania. One of the biggest problems for Ukrainians is the lack of internet connection, and this problem had been temporarily solved by Elon Musk using exactly the internet from his satellites, the Starlink.

Considering that, nowadays, it is not very rare for places without network coverage in the main countries that use smartphones en masse, for now, due to the low strength of these connections, they will be very interesting for extreme cases, until the band can in fact present a stronger connectivity, capable of sustaining other uses.
In Brazil, for example, 98% of the population currently has access to a 4G network, which is positive when we think that this connection is fast enough for basic use, but when we think of 5G, which is the most current network, we are already talking about a network that is basically limited to capital cities.
Speaking like this, it is even strange to think that companies are already talking and preparing for the arrival of 6G.
“Samsung intends to take the lead in advancing hybrid terrestrial-NTN communications ecosystems around the world in preparation for the arrival of 6G.”

Apple has also launched a satellite connection 5a1oz
For those who are apple fans, the satellite connection service for emergencies is now available online. iPhone 14. The service, however, is restricted to some countries in the Northern Hemisphere.

The company launched its technology in the US and Canada and quickly expanded into , , Ireland and the UK. When the satellite connection is activated, the can send emergency messages, make calls to services and use location in a basic way, being very useful in exceptional cases.
The satellite used by Apple it's from the network Globalstar and in the future the company also plans to increase the functioning of the network, expanding it both to other countries and to a more expansive network coverage in of sharing images and videos.

Jeez, how to innovate
I loved it 🤣🤣🤣🤣 incredible innovation
great
I can only imagine that if I had this a year or 2 earlier, I would have saved more than 1 million in problems.
technology only evolves
Samsung dents a lot
It's past time to do away with carriers
long last!
What a necessary initiative from Samsung, congratulations!!!!! In the world we live in today, not having an internet signal or chip for a call takes us backwards a lot.
It arrived a little late, now I've had to switch carriers 🙁
Meanwhile, Claro doesn't even start in the city
