The month of April is perhaps one of the low points for launches in the games industry in 2023. However, even with few big game releases, some of the most anticipated games of the year have their release date scheduled for the fourth month of the year. The continuation of Cal Kestis' adventures with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be made available in a third-person adventure in the galaxy created by Respawn Entertainment. The game starts 5 years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, following Cal's increasingly desperate struggle as the galaxy grows even darker. Pushed to the edge of the galaxy by the Empire, our protagonist will find himself surrounded by new and familiar threats.
Also, we have the new Dead Island 2 which was announced in E3 of 2014 finally being released in a game that promises to attract zombie fans with a first-person gameplay, where the player will be able to face hordes of creatures with different types of weapons in a game that will focus primarily on fun.
meanwhile in Nintendo Switch, the month highlights the launch of the Advance Wars remake with Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. The strategy game features two campaigns covering the events of Advance Wars e Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising de Game Boy Advance.

In theaters, we have the premiere of the new film by Makoto Shinkai – creator of kimi no na wa (Your Name in English) in the West called Suzume no Tojimari. The film depicts the story of a high school girl and a mysterious young man who try to predict a series of disasters across Japan.
Also in April, we will have the launch of Dungeons & Dragons, as an adaptation of the most popular tabletop RPG in the world with a film that promises to please fans and bring several references to classic adventures in the game, and we will have the premiere of Knights of the Zodiac: Saint-Seiya – The Beginning. The improbable live-action adaptation of the anime that was successful in Brazil in the 90s arrives in theaters with a film that promises to deliver little quality and a lot of fun.

At ShowmeCAST 136 we also commented on the return of Power Rangers: Now and Forever which will show us the protagonists of the classic season of the series back to their characters decades after the end of the story.
