The settings and characters are more detailed, so it looks like the job is being done very well.
A refinement of controls and gameplay optimizations were also promised, including new powers such as the Jade Ghost Wisp, which allows traversing objects. This time, many more platforms will receive the game: there will be Sonic for PS4, Sonic to Nintendo Switch, Sonic to Xbox One and Sonic to PC - just via Epic Games Store. The game will be available on September 7, 2021.
The game is now available for pre-order, which entitles you to early access and a bunch of perks, such as wearable silver and gold in-game items, a boost from the movie Sonic (don't worry, we don't know what that is either), music and player icons, plus a unique baby Sonic keychain - apparently based on the design from the recent Hedgehog movie.

As we already mentioned, it's not just a remaster of Sonic that the 2010 game inspired, but also a animation series in two parts, which comes with the original voice cast (American, in this case). With an expected release for the American summer - that is, more or less between June and September, the same time Sonic Colors Ultimate will come out - it is called Sonic Colors: Rise of the Wisps.
