Without much fanfare, the Sony officially announced today (20/04) the details of the new X. The specifications of the device were published in the publish here on SMT last week.

O X follows the design line of the latest models Xperia, with a metal and glass finish, giving the impression that the company presented a “reheated device”, with only a few improvements.
Still, it retains a resource that was discarded in the Galaxy S6 da Samsung: IP68 certification, which guarantees protection from water and dust. The device can be submerged to a depth of up to 1,5 meters for up to 30 minutes.

The screen X  has the same size as the previous version, with 5.2 inches and Full HD with 1920 x 1080 pixels (424 ppi). It features IPS LCD technology with over 16 million colors and Sony's proprietary X-Reality Engine and Triluminos Display capabilities.

In dimensions, there are small advances. The new smartphone Sony it is thinner and lighter, is just 6.9 millimeters thick and weighs 144 grams.

Always a positive point in the devices of the Sony, camera comes with a resolution of 20.7 megapixels (5248×3936 pixels), a 1/2.3″ sensor and the ability to record high quality videos in 4K (2160p@30fps).

The good news is the front camera that jumped to 5.1 megapixels and gained a lens wide angle to facilitate framing when taking selfies. It records videos in Full HD (1080p@30fps).

O X comes from the factory with the system Android Lollipop 5.0 and features a 810-bit octa-core Snapdragon 64 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. THE Sony maintained the possibility of expanding the memory with the use of a microSD card up to 128GB.

The battery has lost some capacity. At the X it had 3.100 mAh and in the new version it was 2.930 mAh.

The Japanese will be the first to receive the X, which will be sold in colors: white, black, copper and aqua green. The company did not disclose values, nor the forecast of launch in other countries.
