the internet of Starlink comes from devices SpaceX, another company from which Elon Musk is proprietary, but this time focused on space issues. The price reduction — which does not occur exclusively in Brazil — is due to local market conditions. In those places where the company detected that the reduction was necessary, it happened. The inflation that affects several countries in the world ends up leading some sectors to adjust to the price of certain services, and Starlink is on that wave.
An example offered was in the case of the Netherlands, in Europe, which generally has a monthly subscription to Starlink for €124 costing now €105 — an approximate value of R$ 645 and R$ 546 respectively. Of course, it is not yet the discount for 50%, but in Brazil, which had the value of R$530 at launch, you can now be able to pay monthly R$230 — value only for internet delivery, not including equipment and/or installation.

Other countries also reported the application of lower values in the monthly internet plan, such as a Reddit who claimed to have had his reduced from £89 to £75 — an approximate amount of R$535 and R$451 respectively. The situation in the United States, where the dollar has been rising against other currencies, is less clear. a person in Nevada reports having received a reduction for US$ 85 (it was $110), but Starlink's own pages still show a monthly subscription price of $110 after a one-time purchase of the hardware kit for $599. Several other people claiming to be from the US say they haven't received no price reduction. So far there have been no reports of a reduction in speed or the addition of strict data limits after discounted subscriptions.
