This Wednesday (12), the Sony presented a new State of Play with new ads for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2. The conference showed more details of games already announced such as Monster Hunter Wilds, Borderlands 4 and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, in addition to new titles such as Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, Dreams of Another, Saros and more. Starting with one of the closest and most anticipated releases of 2025, Monster Hunter Wilds has received a new trailer showing off more of its dynamic world where ecosystems change dramatically in real time. The game is set in the Forbidden Lands, an unexplored region that the Guild decided to investigate after rescuing a young man named Nata, the sole survivor of a mysterious attack. The climate directly affects the fauna, making monsters more aggressive or allowing periods of abundance. The new trailer revealed that the legendary monster Mizutsune will be added in a free update later this year.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance 6p1u3r

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance marks the return of the classic franchise SEGA in a new 2D action platformer, scheduled for release on August 29, 2025 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Developed by the team of Streets of Rage 4, the game features hand-drawn visuals and follows Joe Musashi on his quest for revenge after his clan is petrified. Players will have access to a ninja arsenal, including the Oborozuki katana and Ninjutsu techniques, as they explore varied stages, face enemies and uncover secrets in a stylized world.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds brings back the speed and competitiveness of kart racing to the universe of the blue hedgehog. The game promises online and offline modes, with dynamic tracks and the strategic use of special items to ensure an advantage over opponents. One of the highlights is a new mechanic involving rings, which change the scenery during races. The first trailer confirmed a closed network test on February 21, allowing players to try out the game before its launch.

According to its creator, Yang Bing, the game's combat system prioritizes speed and strategy, with influences from renowned titles in the RPG genre.

Dave the diver will receive a new crossover in April with Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza, bringing expansion Ichiban's Holiday Content Pack. The content will add Ichiban Kasuga and other characters from the franchise, introducing combat sections in the style beat 'em up in 2D.

WWE 2K25 was presented in more detail during the State of Play, promising new features for 2K's wrestling franchise. The game will bring gameplay improvements, new modes and an updated roster of fighters with over 300 options, reflecting the most recent WWE events. Highlights include improvements to the physics of strikes, more fluid animations and adjustments to the MyGM mode.

Borderlands 4 received its release date during the announcements of the State of Play. Gearbox's new game arrives on September 23, 2025 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. In addition to the announcement, Gearbox president Randy Pitchford confirmed a special presentation for the fall, where the developers will reveal more details about the game, including new mechanics and the extensive arsenal of weapons.

The plot follows FOX agent, Naked Snake, in 1964, as he tries to save a Russian scientist and destroy the Shagohod, a Soviet superweapon, all in the midst of the Cold War and the confrontation with his defector mentor, The Boss.

hell is us, developed by Rogue Factor, will be released on September 4, 2025. The game features a semi-open world where exploration is entirely up to the player's instincts, with no maps or markers. The narrative and level design encourage discovery at the player's pace. Combat is strategic, with weapons such as swords, spears, and axes to face supernatural creatures.

Lies of P: Overture takes Krat players to snowy fields in an expansion of the original game, with a new trailer highlighting new weapons, such as the bow and arrow, absent in the base title.
