Counting on many news and surprises, something that was really not unexpected was The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Wii U/Switch) have won the 2017 Game of the Year award.
A great year for games 652q32
Link's adventure was in good company and competition was fierce as Breath of the Wild was in the running with Super Mario Odyssey.
But in addition to the main prize, Link and Nintendo still took for the game a total of three trophies at this year's VGA – Best Game Direction and Best Action Game. In addition, Big N also revealed a trailer about the game's second DLC, Champions' Ballad, which became available for shortly after the end of the ceremony.
Best of all, this is the first time Nintendo has received the Game of the Year award for one of its titles at VGA. So kudos to Nintendo and the development team that made Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild the best game of 2017 and an amazing adventure that no player will ever forget.
The ceremony was also the stage for the release of several interesting trailers, such as the master's new work Hideo Kojima, Death Stranding. The video is as bizarre as you can imagine, but more details about the game have yet to be revealed.
New games were also announced as SoulCalibur VI, Fade to silence, A Way Out e Bayonetta 3 (Switch). Furthermore, Nintendo confirmed that the first two titles in this daring witch's series will be re-released for Switch as well.
One of the most interesting teasers of the night was due to the From Software (series producer Dark Souls). The short video seems like an indication that maybe Bloodborne 2 be on your way.
